I made it myself :-) DIY kit from Doepfer, some extra rails and a second-hand tool case.
If you're willing to spend I can direct you to the makers of these cases. Ebay should yield some good stuff too, just search for "trolley tool case" or similar.
hey thanks a bunch. i actually got a case for the moment but i'm planning to get myself a pelican case thing going at some point. these are good sounds, right on!
maybe the question is stupid but : isn't bugbrand with babana jack? how do you connect to doepfer or other modules with 3.5minijack?is is possible to purchase bugbrand with minijack?
thank you and keep on with your alieninsectcreepysound :D
yeah.. I've made a max patch for addive synthesis with 7 oscillators that really sounds well.. I have to review it these days.. and maybe putting there 16 oscilators in monophonic mode, instead of putting it to 8-12 notes polyphonic mode
how much have you spent to get this modules? probably more than 3000€/$, or not? i have a doepfer a-100 modular system at college but man, this stuff rocks
yeah, that's not too far off the mark in USD. Honestly: MONEY WELL SPENT! I get so much joy from this system, and it provides tons of fodder for my "other" DAW based stuff, it's ridiculous. Add to that that its... modular! and you don't have to buy it all at once - I even recommend getting them a few pieces at a time, to really get to know the modules and you've got a winner :)
I already own a ring modulator and a low pass filter from moog, but I cannot make synthesis with it unless i use for an instance maxmsp to get something to enhance with it (and I will loose audio signal quality in adac conversions).. but yeah, I have doepfer a-100 module on a wishlist and maybe when I can get some money I will try to buy one. Tell me, which kinds of analogue synthesis can you make with it (am, fm, rm, additive, subtractive, waveshaping with an audio source)?
all of the above :-)It has audio inputs, 4 oscillators (so FM and such is easy) etc. etc. Additive really is for software, I'd say. controlling 16 sine generators would be hell in a modular.
Killer ! Beautiful...nice when it gets real down and crackly. (Er...but can you make "songs" with this ?!)
In my opinion this IS a song. Let's call it "Whales
on Speed!"

So do you make songs with it?

define "songs" - I do make tracks with it, I sample it religiously too ;)
machinate 2 years ago
Full musical compositions (with structure) which feature your instrument(s).
How do you mean " I sample it religiously too ;) " ?
So where can we listen to those tracks?

Cheers!
