To all new transformer fans. There is only one Transformers movie. It is called The Transformers: The Movie. Its biggest draw is that it never takes itself seriously and doesn't have any crappy romance, but it's still cornball cinema. There's no 'substance' at all. It was made to sell toys, which is why it killed off nearly the entire G1 roster to make room for the new Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus etc toys.

The only reason they killed of jazz was because they thought it was a bit cheesy if only decepticons died. so they wanted to kill of a character that every one liked and of course they couldn't kill optimus or bumblebee so it had to be jazz.

Thanks for this video because its reminded me of why the first TF Bay film was so much better than its sequels. The CGI actually looks real, whereas the sequels tried had far too much going on to do a decent rendering and compositing job. There is only so far you can take CGI until begins to look like a fucking cartoon! TF1 looked the business.

@ThElNdminer89 not sure a realistic portreyal of the human military and political response to an alien war was what they had in mind with a film geared at 6-8 year olds whose ultimate goal was to clear the way for a new line of toys lol but more seriously the movie condenses the entire history, wheras the reaction of people to transformers was dealt with in plenty of episodes, and even better in the Marvel Comics series

A friend of mine & I survived a 5-car pileup with this music playing on repeat over his somehow still functional speakers.
As a side-note: His Volvo only had about $1500 worth of damage to it, whereas 3 of the cars were unrepairable and the remaining vehicle (hummer) had roughly $4000 in damage. We attended church the following Sunday, and have since praised this song as the theme song of life.

@Sykeko I just recently watched the only Transformers movie with a few of my friends. (I do not consider the Michael Bay movies worthy of being called Transformers.) One of my friends had not seen the G1 series at all, only the Michael Bay films, and the first thing he had to say was "This is badass! Screw Michael Bay."

@bad2dabohn: Scatman Crothers has been dead since 1986 (Jazz to moonbase 2, Jazz to moonbase 2!). There is nobody who could replace him. He was one of the most unique and talented performers of the twentieth century. Think of it as a sign of respect that they "retired his number", so to speak.
