  • Goe bezig! Nice stuff!!

  • only stuck up assholes use the term "poorman's" in the first place. It's their way of convincing themselves that what they have is better and simultaeously making themselves feel better about having spent so much money. You nailed it, John, it is about creativity. Anyone who can't see that is missing out on the very stuff of life.

  • I owned a Machinedrum. Its perhaps the most expensive, useless, over-hyped, over-priced box of rubbish ever!!!!!

  • it could do with being shorter.. or i need to get higher. Akai mpcs blow this shit out of the water

  • I dunno, man. this is kinda...really boring. This drum machine is an incredible tool, capable of much more than what it has in this video been induced to do. And the kaoss pad does just about nothing. Personally, i have had no luck in manipulating my electribes output on the kp to end up with something that wasnt just plain irritating. I was kind of hoping someone else had. No such luck here...

  • there's nothing cheap about this gear....

kaoss pad 3 costs like $300

im not so sure about er-1...im guessing it's part of the electribe production family so it must be pretty pricy

  • Woo, good stuff. Sounds very Autechre like!

  • I miss the squibly sound of my ER-1mk2... I guess my ES-1mk2 with ER-1 samples is almost as good :D

  • can annyone help me? i have a kp3 and an ea1 mk2. can anyone help expand on how i can use the two together? for example using the kp3 to apply effects on top of my songs i have made using the ea1? midi? line in/out? please help!!! xxxx

  • Use a dual 1/4" to RCA lead. Can be bought on eBay and music stores pretty cheaply.

Connect the 1/4" leads to the Output (L + R) on the Ea1 and the RCA inputs to the Line input on your KP3. I don't actually have a KP3, but I think this is how it works. :)

  • jesus..

does kp3 effect midi signals? or is it perhaps an AUDIO effect processor?

did you try just plugging it in and seeing what happened??

  • Don't forget to get a MIDI cable too. Consult the manuals for both devices and do this: First, make sure both devices are on the same MIDI channel. I'd set the kp3 as the master clock (the kp3 tends to drift out of alignment less when it's the master) so connect the kp3 MIDI out to the EA MIDI in. Of course, also feed the EA 1/4" audio outs into the kp3 RCA ins with the cable JL Woods mentions.

  • i can't imagine how the hell can you play music using that kind of hardware. maybe it's because i have never had the chance to experiment with one of those things XD, pretty expensive in this side of the world :,(,

  • si-ik

  • this is why i own an electribe......

  • Your ER MkII looks very red compared to mine

I defo think theres something special and unique about the ER, it aint just a poor mans MachineDrum ;) lol

  • Wow. Sick.

  • Awesome !!!

  • i have an er-1 and ea-1 and that looks more like an ea-1 in the picture unless i'm mistaken. unless that's the kp-3 which i'm unfamiliar with.

  • this looks like "er-1 mk II" :)

  • o yeah. electribe. my mistake.

  • I had never heard of the ER-1, but it looks pretty powerful. Maybe I should look into it.

  • Maaan!!!!Fuck!!!!That sounds like TB 303 with other X synths....Fucking great work!!!!!

  • Errr..

    sounds nothing like tb303!

  • The ER-1 is a drum machine. Its not supposed or even remotely designed to be a TB-303 clone. If anything, its a TR-909 clone, but I use that as a loose comparison.

  • I was replying to someone else saying something about hearing something like a 303 in this video,

which is why i said, it sounds nothing like tb303!!

  • Sorry about that. I was wondering how someone could mistake this for a 303 . . .

  • how much kost a ting like that dude??

  • 380 from guitar center. i almost bought one last week

  • I just found one at a local music store for 295.

  • "This rig (ER-1 + KP3) is what someone called "poorman's Machinedrum UW""

who the fuck says that? thats what i hate about machinedrum elitists. they think a md makes them automatically good and validated as an electronic musician. bunch of bullshit.

it doesnt matter if its "cheap" gear or not. its about music creation and denkitribe you're awesome at that!

  • @ohsnapitzjohn I agree and I do have the MDUW.. I love the elektribes. They are fun and have a lofi sound that is just great. Plus they are cheap. The MD is something else entirely for me. Its a great controller and sophisticated particularly with the parameter locks and sequencing features. But sound wise they are kinda apples and oranges to me aiming for different stuff.

  • hey denkitribe i just ordered a kp2. how can you compare it to the obviously amazing kp3

    i love your stuff mang

  • Same, id like to see a comarison between the two

  • i have a kp3 now that my kp2 broke. i am not enjoying it as much as my kp2 :( im getting a kassilator next, then getting another kp2 once i have a couple more bucks.

  • Sounds great dude.

  • very good !

  • coool ^^ ça va ... pas de malaise ^^

  • not exactly my style but still good work.

i am also working on my skills to perform livesets. which tools would you recommend ?

at the moment its only some own phrases/tracks via ableton, a kp2 and...nothing :o

  • TECHNO!!!

  • i loooovvvveee itt t.

  • YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like it very much.

Are all the sounds you hear made by the ER?

Or is there another synth or something like that?

    Greetings,

    Toon

  • it sounds alot like it's all coming from the er-1 he's just using the crossmod function.

  • Denkitribe, you're my hero :) I have an EMX-1 and a KP3, but I've yet to do anything as interesting as what you do with 'em... but you provide some good inspiration!

  • where can I get the full live set? I looove that shit!!!

  • Happy to have the ER too :-D

  • Dude, i gotta ask you...if you could only have 3 pieces of gear, what would you keep?

  • Yeah, Welcome back! You work that ER1 hard, mate. Nice

  • WIKKEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Finally a new video! Really interesting. I love the ER1.
