  • with how heavy kettlebells are you working?

  • @mxtomijs 60 KG

  • Shitty music.

  • put this men to work at a construction site, digging tranches, moving bags of cement etc. then it would be great for economy too ))

  • why is it soviet force and not "this is america and we kicked the soviet's ass in hockey and the cold war force"?

  • @Timothyg85 what does that have to do with getting stronger?

  • @patrikas2 well, the gym is in America, we are capitalists, we are a free republic, we are a free country. just curious why these guys would name it Soviet Force when they havent won anything meaningful on the world stage in a very long time.

  • @Timothyg85 just like there are chinese and mexican restaurants, who bring parts of their culture here, these people want to share their knowledge of soviet style training in america. i still don't understand why you have to bring up these things, and poke fun at a nation.

  • @patrikas2 dude, it was a joke. lighten up. obviously america wouldnt exist if it were not for immigrants. i completely understand the olympic lifts are mastered in countries like Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, etc...I get all that. I understand their training methods have influenced some of North America's most notable S&C coaches. I get all of that. Its just a joke man.

  • @Timothyg85 pretty harsh joke... "...we kicked the soviet's ass..." but whatever.

  • @patrikas2 over sensitive much?

  • Mad props. The gym looks awesome I've currently only being primarily focused on kb training the last few years but I can see it is exactly right about gyms not really understabding the mechanics of kb training

  • soviet? silly

  • Soviet Force with an American Flag and speaking English?? Where the world is?

  • good lord, no break till break time at Soviet force.

  • too bad you guys are not closer, that is my kinda place, not those "hold my hand while i cry about being fat" kinda place

  • It appears to me that form means nothing to these guys. CrossFit = Better if your looking for workouts

  • Артурас, вы из России?

  • Saunuoliai Broliai :-)

  • this is how you get strong, get something heavy, pick it up,put it down, keep doing it..

  • owners are lithuanian?

  • @fju1 Yes he is lithuanian! Moowooo! LITHUANIA!

  • Looks like a great place to train with attitude, keep up the good work !!

  • You made big generalizations, and they're not based on fact, despite you saying so. These matters are relative to the individuals. Just like you said about american way of living, a great percentage of russians and slavics live the way other westerns do. And please, don't post any other generalizations about this subject, because they are not actual facts.

  • R.I.P A K

  • that woman at 00:26 was doing my max! im 15 5'8... thats amazing, never seen a woman sqauting

  • @Akkadiandude ... You dont have a very high max lol

  • @r6v2man

Lol my comment was a year ago, im 6'1 and 365lb is my max now (=

  • we share pain not feeling

    hahahahahahahah

  • Damn... I should have been born a Soviet... Kettlebells, Cyrillic, Sambo, Kalshnikovs, Super-Manliness...

Seriously, I train with some Russians... You guys are freaking phenomenal. It's like that part of the brain that says "ouch, this hurts, stop doing this"... doesn't work. Tough bunch of dudes those Ruskis...

  • @lamesurfer101 aye, america could use a heavy dose of that

  • @lamesurfer101 - yeah, and its a fact russian youth are superior to american youth in strength & fitness.

  • @evilunixuser1 How is that a fact? That's such a stupid comment. There's nothing different from americans an russians, I mean genetically they are both as capable of being strong and fit. Don't confuse fact with myth.

  • @flupetto - it IS fact. most American children fed high fat diets, little, if any exercise, raised on MTV, internet, video games. and everything in life given to them on silver platters. in russia, and other slavic countries, being strong is an honor. yes, the physical make-ups are the same, its what is being done in spare time.

  • @evilunixuser1 i agree, the western world in general, but america in particular, seem to be overly materialistic and dont give a shit about what really matters.

  • Flipping tyres, The worlds supply of kettlebells. This is what gyms should be like not the faggot lycra clad gyms in most towns. We need more gyms like this one. A++++++

  • wha? how?

  • @gheemunniept2 google chicago tribune news

  • Are the strength gains permanent?

For example: If I start out with lets say a 25 LB kettlebell then move all the way up to 70 LB eventually. Then I stop working out for like a year. Will I be able to work out again with the 70 LB Kettlebell?

I know this is not the case with Dumbells and curls etc.

  • I think its not straightforward yes and no question MTEK (WTF!). I worked as a sawmill labourer for a few years and my hand strength stuck with me for a long time. Some of this is probably neurological. Alternatively, as soon as you stop training muscles will adapt to that stimulus (inactivity) with remarkable efficiency. Its prob a better idea to keep a low level maintenance program which will preserve most of your hard earned strength gains. Just my opinions.

  • There is no such thing as permanent strength gains, if you don't work out anymore your body will get weaker. You will how ever have a much easier time getting back to the 70 lbs kettlebell than compared to when you started at the 25 lbs kettlebell.

But why do you want to stop training after you reach 70 lbs? Make training a part of your life!

  • @ansj100 you dont stop training, but multiply the repetitions! ( no need to go to 300 lbs girja, just do 70 - 70 times!

  • @MikeTysonEatsKids

of course not. anytime you stop working out your muscles start to atrophy.

  • @MikeTysonEatsKids any muscle will atrophy with lack of use. you will loose the tone wich is the amount of "resting readiness" in a muscle. but the gains will return relatively quickly b/c you have created the muscle mass and the motor neuron recruitment to use that mass. imagine your muscles going into hybrination from lack of use. they still exist but will be very grogy when they first re-awake.

  • lol, anytime a person works out and they quite for a year they will not be the same as they were whene they worked out. it doesnt matter what type of equipment is used, when you stop working out you lose your strenth and will get a higher body fat percentage no matter what.

  • I used the 35 Kettlebell I bought. I love it. I did stop for a month and still have the strength.

I beleive you keep most of the srength, and still have the ability.

With that being said, I CANNOT BELIEVE how this kettlebell has developed my forearms and hand area in general. WOW!

Now I know why those old strong men were so strong. this was ther secret.

  • the longer you'd stay quite the weaker you would get. a month isnt that long but keep in mind, 35 lbs is what you use for repetition and doesnt reflect on top end strenth so you may not notice so much difference but the longer your quite for the weaker you get no matter if its kettlebells, dumbells or barbells or even pushups and chinups for that matter.

  • I like how there's no room for "feelings" on their wall or at their gym -- hahaha

  • Excellent Gym!!! But really lame comments from people watching the video... who is talking about nazis you dumbasses this is training not politics...

  • Literally the fucking dumbest argument ive seen on here. Lets a. do us all a favor and make sure you can actually spell words and put sentences together. and b. stop trying to connect random ass facts that have little to do with each other.

This is just a training program by the way but good concept.

  • is your gym called Soviet Force or what?

This is the biggest joke ever. Spetznaz pisses in your grave. Nadstrovia

  • Murderous Governments have nothing to do with the people... Have you ever read statistics of the genocide of ALL the worlds governments over the years??? These people are just trying to make a buck sharing their training knowledge.

And if you trained your mind you would see that.

  • And what about all the native americans we slaughtered? i dont see ya ll having a problem with worlds gym or golds or any other gym in America for that matter

  • why are they stupid, they are talking about body mechanics vs machines and static exercises?

perhaps they also study diffrent subjects

    how do you know?

  • Did you see the writing on the wall in the background?

    We share pain,

    not feelin

    gs

    hahahaha mongos!

  • I trained with Idas, the other owner right before they were opening this gym. Great job guys I wish it was closer.

  • Nice to know Americans now want to be like soviets. Shows who had more guts and power when it came to training!

  • Make the call you pussy!

  • suck my Eastern european cock! fat american pig! imperialist bastard! hold on I forgot you are american thus no education, why would you know what imperialist means! can you spell your name ? can you wipe your own ass?!

  • strong fuckers, these nazi soviets,,,...

  • learn your history my friend. the soviets are the ones who caused the collapse of the nazis! Communists yes, nazis NO!

  • the communists were committing holocausts before the nazis came into power, and bigger ones.

  • yeah the training approach is good, but imagine somebody opening a nazi gym. the soviets murdered alot more than the nazis.

  • yea, dude, you are pretty much an idiot.

seriously, THIS IS A WORKOUT ROUTINE. who gives a shit.

    the communists..... what a dumbass.

  • Excuse me young lady, I wasn't the one who brought it up. If it was a Nazi or KKK gym people would whine about it.

  • lol not the same things at all.

there is entirely different connotation with Soviet then there is Nazi or KKK. when people hear Nazi they think Jew hating, when they hear KKK they also think jew hating but hating black people would come up first. in both cases it is hate of some group of people.

when someone hears soviet they think cold war or russian, or nothing at all because they dont really knw much about that history, there is no hate or things of that nature. At least not in the USA.

  • The difference in the connotation is precisely because enough don't know much about history.

If they did it would at least equally as objectionable--and worse. Because worse they were.

  • not really, while soviet history is bloody its mostly bloody with in itself and not against others( there really isnt a reason for someone to look at it the same way they do at Nazis nor KKK.) which is true to just about any nation. If you cant say soviet you shouldnt say American/ British/ Colonial/French....... either. If you look every nation out there had at some point in its history has blood on its hands. It only shows that at that time some fucked up people where in power.

  • You are wrong about soviet history.

They were conducting holocausts (and bigger ones) before the nazi had power in germany.

    They are unprecedented

Your comparisons to Amer?Brit/Fr are absurd.

  • pretty sure you are pulling shit out of your ass so give an example.

and slaughtering the native Americans and using bio weapons (diseased blankets) on them are pretty fcking bad.

the brits/frnch/spanish are resposible for slavery and colonizations which has resulted in 10s if not 100s millions of deaths.

  • Soviet Force? At 0:35 there is an American flag on the wall!

  • @souzanian - The guys are from Russia, but came to America, bringing with them their strength training methods.

  • @souzanian You should know by now, but is a Gym that is called Soviet Force, and it's based in US.

  • @flupetto thats pretty funny, why would they call it soviet force and have it be a US based gym? Did it start in the soviet union or something?

  • @eiroight i think its b/c kettlebells are russian based and barbell training, although not created in russia or the soviet satellites, was perfected by them. still funny that the U S of A flags in the background tho

  • @souzanian we dont conquer, we expend our boundaries!

  • @souzanian This is a reference to kettlebells, methods that came with it from soviet times.

  • @souzanian it is in america....

  • @souzanian Soviet Force Kettlebell training in "HIGHLAND PARK,IL"

  • @souzanian probably a show of respect to the u.s

  • @dirtyjew1974 More like this gym was in Illinois, and this was just a Soviet-style workout.

  • Круто.

  • ericcartman97 You say you have working out there for 18 months but they have only been around for a yr. How is that possible?

  • actually, they have been around for around 2 years. maybe you have been workin out for a year, but they have been around for a while

  • yeah i had to jump in and out of those huge tires.

fell right on my face on my last set.

  • arturai tu is lietuvos?

  • I have been working out here for about 18 months and it is incredible. I used to work out 5 days a week and now, I workout 2 days a week. I am in better shape and my body fat is below 10 percent. I recommend to anyone who thinks he is man enough.

  • but where is this thing???

  • sadly, you are in canada, and it is in Illinois USA

  • I work out here, it is the ass kikingest workout in the world, makes you a man, no need for any other type of exercise this is as perfect as it gets.
