  • Great playing. Good luck and keep making such beautiful sojunds.

  • what music are you playing?

  • @trombonemusicman besides the excerpts, i know what those are. .

  • Are you available? :-)

  • One big huge question where do you get the music ??? D:

  • what type of bass trombone is that? its lovely. so is your playing!

  • @CSjuggling Thank you! It's a Getzen Custom Series.

  • @skuagis I have just a plain Getzen.

  • You do sound really really good. The one problem I have with your playing is that when you get to the lower and quieter stuff, your tone is really shaky. My suggestion would be to do a LOT of long tones, especially from about Bb in the staff down to about double pedal Bb. Just focus on stability and you should be great. Once again, great job. :)

  • @erdome1990 I appreciate that. I actually have been doing a lot of long tones in the low register for the past year since I posted this video.

  • unfortunately, you need to improve your tonguing.. (air technique). trust me, if you don't improve it, you'll screw yourself up. i've done that before.. especially in a band concert

  • Falta muito trino

    um dia voçê chega lá...

  • my private lessons instructor always says "If you can sing it, If you can buzz it (meaning only using your mouthpiece) then you can play it." maybe you should try some of that. and work on phrasing, that would make you a ton better.

  • hmmm....buzz, buzz, buzz, and more buzzing with the mouthpiece will help those "dead spots" in the lower register which are the cause of that 'slapping' at the start of anything in the low register. Also try buzzing the piece(s) you're working on at AT LEAST half the tempo you're playing. Open the throat, drop your jaw and....BREATHING EXERCISES!!!! nice though. anyone who plays a decent bass bone has my love :)

  • you do have a very nice tone, but you should definitely try to get more air through the horn...even during softer passages. i could give you some lessons. wink wink, nudge nudge :P

  • more dynamics...

  • How can you have that good sound and that bad air technique at the same time?

  • @ILickGlue ahh yes. 2 reasons: 1: practice. 2: I care more about my sound than anything else.

  • @ILickGlue everyone has something to work on. dont be a dick. sorry if i misinterpreted, but the comment comes off as rude :/

  • @trombone1717 the very same! Hope you had a good year!

  • phrasing is the key, are you used to playing on that bass? Hope you get it...Nice Tone

  • Pretty good. My teacher always tells me to keep a consistent breath in the horn with lots of legato style tounging. Ps I love ur one. One I'm planning to buy soon.

  • Hi Holly- I like your bass sound!

Brass- Greetings from a german trombonist :-)

  • @MrVuvuzelaman thanks!
