This drummer, however, has the perfect groove for this song (as opposed to the drummer in the "live chicago" version of this song found elsewhere on the Tube).
Robin Wilson is the lead singer, last I checked. Pretty sure he always was, aside from Jesse Valenzuela's contributions. Doug was guitarist and main songwriter for the first two records, but always the man behind the curtain, never the lead singer.
I've always loved this band and this song is one of my favourites. What's with this audience at this concert though? Did they all come from a nursing home or something? They look a bit old and are barely moving! The lead singer's voice is still as great as it always was.
i love this song!! the gin blossoms, what an entertaining group to see live! they really keep the crowd jumping, well not here but at the one i was at they did.
this is the most melodic song ever written. There whole collection is filled with teen angst, heartbreak, all the great high school memories, brought to life by such great songwriting and singing. thumbs up, hopkins was a genius, but life must move on and it has moved on well.
It doesnt matter how popular they are, I mean if there was justice in the music world Justin Timberlake wouldnt be everywhere. It matters if your music is good and Gin Blossoms are among the best.
It's a pity. Of all the mid-90's " adult alt-pop" bands, I think this was the best one. Now they are playing state fairs to indifferent codgers while Dave Matthews (or "Whiny McWhine and the Blands", as I call them are still paking stadiums.
The world keeps turning, don't it? I remember when these guys were sharing chart space on Billboard with the top pop acts of 1994, and getting heavy video rotation on MTV. They were probably banging everything in sight, too. Now the front rows of their concerts are filled by old, quiet white men who look on peacefully, instead of hot, screaming groupies with flailing arms. What the hell?

PERFECT groove.

I suspect that "falling away" is the opposite of "falling in love". He's being syndical, "until he falls out of love". I could be wrong though.

Are they playing in a cave? It sort of looks like a cave wall behind them, or the base of a cliff.

Wow. If these guys get any more lively on stage, a funeral's going to break out.
Love their CDs, but the show is boring to the max.

Didn't the main songwriter die? Maybe that had something to do with their fade into obscurity.
