re the comments on Tara of London- actually- Tara has inspired me in quite a few ways.... in fact i gave her credit in my workshops this past month for something i learnt from watching her! she's a stunning dancer!

i like that i have character!!! :-)

I've just watched a video of Tara of London and then this video of Lorna of Cairo. Tara is a much more rhythmic dancer and dances in a much more "manufactured" and conventional way, she could be any girly really, whereas this one has character, she dances to all the music, she almost is the music. And that's more where I'm at, too. It's the difference between finding your own way to dance by feeling your way into the music and your own femininity, rather than being drilled into shape.
