Beside, he's not wrong saying it's not about speed but path. Off-speed are made to unbalance on speed, breaking balls on path. All this is to make your fastball being harder to hit.

the time from the leg lift to where the ball exits the frame was 2.2-2.4 every time i timed it, it's not good enough, he just needs to be faster as it goes into his muscle memory

this kid's like 2.2-2.4. I think he was more trying to show that you don't need a leg lift to load and fire your hips. As he gets better with the slide step he will start to go quicker. Maddux has one of the best slide step/pickoffs in the game, and he maxes out at 86.

now imma lefty, so i dont slide step often but this is dam slow man, sure true velocity but ur not even giving the catcher a chance to even throw him out at 3rd man. this is dam slow, its like a 2 second time to home cause his true velocity is like 78
