  • You know this is just some IE integration for .chm files, right?

  • Its IE!

  • that's not a different browser... it's IE5..

  • it is as simple as that.... just open any folder and type the desired URL on the address bar...:-)

  • : is Colon, ; is Semi-Colon.

  • wow much better than Firefox! Not

  • dont work on win 7 shut up gay

  • Works on Vista? Cuz' Its Cool

  • Sorry to disappoint you but that's not a hidden browser, its the Internet Explorer that's embedded in all the MS applications. If you uninstall IE, you'll see that they won't work anymore!

Same when you open up "My Computer" and type in a URL... its using Internet Explorer.

Another example is Steam, which uses IE as well. No IE, no Store page in Steam!

  • yea you are correct. it is because Internet Explorer has an object which is the browsing object. You can create a Visual Basic version with the IE object.

sorry to everyone that thought it was an actual standalone browser. it is not.

  • i think it just explorer thats it delit explorer and try do what you have showed than we will see will it work

  • Thats pretty boss bro, Good work.

  • Wow thats pretty kwel

  • whoa..never noticed that. cool kid =)

  • Nice. Thanks!

  • i remember doing this awile ago. microsoft removed it in SP3 though

  • it's Camtasia???

  • Tell me what is this PROGRAM

Tell ME, Tell ME, Tell ME

  • Hmmm this Uses the IE engine. So.. No IE, no way to do that!

Try using WINDOWS EXPLORERE (explorer.exe) ... it would give the same result :/

  • only if you have IE6 or lower.

once you upgrade to 7, it opens anything you type in IE.

but if you have IE6, your exploler window and IE window function the same way, and you can use either.

thats why i dont upgrade to IE7, and just usae firefo for browsing

  • thats cool :)

  • I think this works for pcs with ie8 and above and its a bug.

  • It isnt for PC's with IE8. It works on any Windows XP computer whether they have IE8 Beta or not and works on any program which uses the 'help topics' system. It isnt a bug. The 'help system' is based on a html help page system so you can redirect help from the help files to a html webpage. Its not a bug. Its been around since Windows 2000 or even earlier. Its there for a reason. Im not sure why though.

  • no im on xp

  • this doesnt work for me lol

  • r u running vista? i am

  • dis fo, damn yo hahah

    props dog

  • haha awsome, this helps =p

  • i just got vista......IT DOES NOT SUCK.....anyway, just take good care of your computer and it will not be slow......i tried this as the video was playing, it dosent work :(

  • It's still sux like IE

  • LOL so.

  • How old are you?

  • 14 i sound soooper young it pisses me off

  • you are young -.- i can tell by the way you spelled super

  • umm im 14...my voice makes me sound young and uber gay.

  • 14 is young.

  • old enough to have a youtube account

  • true

  • @JuStCoMpUtErStUfF lol uper...

  • cool!

  • what if your school has macs and your librarian is smart enough to know about command prompt and xp tricks like this?? :)

  • hotspot shield man, best program ever thats what i do at school. it changes your ip address so it bypasses any blocked site

  • very interesting, I remember having found about the same thing in 1999, i think

the "hidden browser", is just HH.exe, a wrapper arround the IE component that so many apps use that allows you to open chm files.

why don't you do a video on the hidden browser that exists by using telnet ?

  • what a shitty way to get a different web browser. Just download some of them, and don't tell me they take up a lot of space because that is just pure bullshit. They are only a few Mb's.

  • vista sucks xp is by far the best microsoft has ever came out with.

  • thanks for the comment :)

  • and even then its not that good lol

  • you can't use it on vista... i have windows vista ultimate

  • get windows xp, i dont like vista that much :P

  • thats not a secret browser its the help topics that use URL files to run

  • thanks! I know that.
