6:53 is where it's at.......this theme takes me back to the 6/5pm edition of SportsCenter from 1995-2001- & any former anchor will tell you that was the best time to work for ESPN. They weren't a corporate shill, selling out advertising anyway they could on air, and they had fun. I miss those days.......& for those of you out there that missed those broadcasts - you missed the golden age of ESPN/SportsCenter!!!! It is a shell of it's former-self.....and now goes thru workers like a meat grinder.

Also, this particular theme (with that beginning) was used for ESPN radio, if I recall correctly. The actual theme used for the Sportscenter TV intro was different (and can easily be found). However, parts of the theme here were used during the teasers/previews before they went to commercial.

Also, I thought it was 6:30 eastern? Unless it changed at some point during that period.

I'm disappointed that they don't have one of the new sportscenter themes can't describe which one it is but it's one of them they play before going to a commercial break and showing previews of what's coming up later in the show. It's never played in the live morning SC though but the others.

wow Sporstenter has always had some sweet themes but after i heard the 90s-early 2000s I comletely 4got how sweet the used to be. I miss the old 90s styled theme songs to sports shows. They were the best in my opinion.
