  • O wasn't shown how to do this because it was supposed to be self explanatory but you saved me from a lot of trouble

  • i just graduated parris island, we got all of our uniforms at the end but it was taken out of our first pay check

  • you do get the blue after boot camp

    TT

  • @ilayzy not anymore it is now give to u at boot camp...at least at MCRDSD

  • life saver

  • Thank you devil dog! :)

  • Thanks Devil !!!

  • @fronttofakie haha what the fuck!! I was on 3233 you can see my platoon video on my channel

  • @Blakwall 3233

  • 3rd BT. for life! Kilo Co.

  • they take the payment of blues out now right wen u get there but if you are security forces you another free pair absolutely free wen you go to soi

  • Erreh!!!

  • good shit. i need to do this for the ball. my unit is having it tomorrow

  • Very helpful. My brother was slightly puzzled as how to put his belt together. Seems like something they would have explained in Boot Camp...

  • this just saved my life lol

  • thank you our Di's only gave us like a 30 second class on how to do this

  • Thank you sir. I just graduated from MCRD San Diego on Friday and couldn't remember how to put together the belt for the Marine Corps Birthday.

  • Thanks! It's been a while & I needed it for the birthday ball.

  • @jerkaholic925 what platoon were you in cause I just graduated Friday the 28 october. D company plt 1085 ska fight club ha and this did help a ton I was really confused when I got everything out...

  • I dont always MCMAP but when i do, i do "BENDS AND THRUSTS"!

  • @1kanyeeast I "DROP THE WEIGHT. MARINE CORP."

  • This helps. A lot haha thanks!

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks helped me out been in for while but never had to wear the blues coat had no clue I felt little dumb on how simple it was

  • I think every boot watched this video.

  • thanks i also just graduated and I wanted to show my family what I looked like in them but they never tell how to make the belt at boot camp

  • Thank you for the video. I just graduated last week and wanted to wear my blues on liberty. They didnt show us how to wear the dress blues. Only the service uniforms.

  • @steveloven All new Marines want to look sharp and go trolling for poon tang but dont wear your blues on liberty. You will draw negative attention to youself. Get yourself some nice clothes with a belt and dress respectfully. You can be proud without wearing your blues, you dont need a uniform to be a Marine.

  • ty for this video, you helped me 1 day before my blues inspection

  • Thank you sir, Semper Fi coming from a fresh boot

  • Thank you, just saved me a ton of time!

  • @phenom65 could you make a video showing how they tie their ties? or link to one? thanks

  • i thought the belt was supposed to have the symbol on it

  • @DevilDogYM Thats only for NCOs.

  • @BJJChuckWagon NCOs and above actually.

  • thanks for serving

  • thanks a lot man. helped me out tons. i just sat there looking at my belt and had no clue hahaha

  • thanks haha can always count on youtube for quick uniform stuff

  • Still can't make my belt work, this is the most frustrating shit ever.

  • Nowadays, all recruits get issued the full Dress Blue Uniform, it's part of the standard seabag issue nowadays.

  • thanks alot man!!

  • the tailor chalk can be gotten off by steaming it for like .5 seconds XD i love my blues.

  • thank you! this helped putting my boyfriends belt together. :)

  • I leave for basic in February, and I was wondering if after graduation you get all your uniforms?

  • @fthesystem101 Not all, you usually don't get Blues, you gotta pay for them sorry :(

  • @phenom65 how much do they cost??

  • @phenom65 They issued my blues when i went threw in 08 but we still payed for them outta our pay checks, apparently it was orders from the Commandant that all Marines should have Dress Blues. Idk all the details i just know we had ours and they were SPIFFY!

  • @phenom65 You get all your uniforms now at boot camp...at least on the East Coast

  • @phenom65 they issue all of them now. just graduated friday

  • @phenom65 I just got home from Bootcamp and they do issue dress blues now, along with a running suit and all-weather coat. The 2nd day after you get back from Pendleton (Phase 2) you have an initial uniform fitting, then a week and a half later you have your second fitting to make sure everything was tailored correctly. Hope this helps. THANKS FOR THE VID! it was driving me crazy on how to do this.

  • @phenom65 pretty sure all enlisted are now required to own them, so they are now given out

  • @phenom65 i just got out and they issue your blues now. but you still pay for em.

  • @phenom65 Actually, that has changed. I just got back from Boot this past Saturday, and we were issued our Blues, as well as an all weather coat, woolie pully, and running suit.

  • @Uberfoxbob same, just graduated today and received all of the above.

  • @phenom65 ur an idiot.. you get all your uniforms even before the crucible. lol i just graduated on friday.

  • @phenom65 actually devil dogs u get issued all uniforms now

    just graduated wednesday from PISC

  • @phenom65 It depends. We got all of ours when I graduated in September. It might depend on which coast you were on. (I was west)

  • @fthesystem101 .. Our company got fitted and recived our Blues at lease 3 weeks before graduation.

  • @fthesystem101 Hey i just graduated and yeah you get your first blues issued to you. Dont worry about it. Before you wear them though you will want to take them to the cleaners to get all that tailor chalk off

  • @fthesystem101 yes you do now. you get the running suit, 3 green trousers, 2 blue trousers, 5 sets of cammies, alpha coat and dress blues coat, all your covers (the shitty ones usually).

  • @fthesystem101 I just got out of basic last week man they give you all your uniforms during phase 3 of boot camp dont worry and they dont charge you for your uniforms even though everyone thinks they do.

  • @waterpolobobby The cost of uniforms comes straight out of your pay.... you do have to pay for them but it's not like they're going to have you make a bank withdrawl so you can pay with cash... Did you wonder why you come out of boot camp with like $1,500 dollars instead of $3,000? You pay for a lot of things in boot camp.

  • @waterpolobobby

    Mike Company? Or Alpha?

  • @fthesystem101 I realize that you're probably IN boot camp right now, but just in case you're not, I'll tell you that you WILL be issues dress blues. It has changed. They didn't use to give them out but they do now. If you go to MCRD San Diego you will graduate in dress blues, but MCRD Parris Island does not. Either way you'll get blues.

  • @fthesystem101 hey dog. You DO get the blues in basic now. and I am 100% sure about that.

  • @fthesystem101 It's probably too late and you're already a Marine but I got my dress blues during boot camp, along with camies, service uniforms (alphas, charlies, etc.) and everything I needed pretty much. Of course they came out of my paycheck.

  • @fthesystem101 Dress Blues are given out now as of October 2011

  • Dude thank u so much for this vid. They didn't teach us in bootcamp how to do this cause u don't wear ur alphas in bootcamp and u make it really simple thanks and semper fi man

  • I want to thank u for ur service. And even now you are still helping your fellow

Marines. I gave this video to all my fellow marines who werent taught or didnt have the integrity to pay attention. Ooh Rah, Devildog. - Pvt. Neely USMC

  • @atn6892 Boot

  • Can marine officers where the webbed belt?

  • @danster3461 dont think so, since their dress blues are different

  • good stuff man. The little things that we forget

  • one more thing since i figure marines come here to see this can any one tell me if we are supposed to wear the gloves with the uniform or are the optional

  • @GolaRala I suppose ur getting ready for your ball and usually the wearing of the gloves are dictated by your CO. If nobody told you to wear them (check your tickets or maybe they gave you a pamphlet with info on it) you probably don't have, but no, they are not really requirements per se.

  • aprecaite the help i couldent figure it out for the life of me when i got mine in boot camp they never showed me how to put on the belt only the guide knew how to do it

  • Thanks alot Devil Dog, Semper FI!

  • Semper Fi, Marine.

  • This is good stuff. I'm sending it to my fellow junior Marines so they can be prepared for the ball. Thanks phenom.

  • Thanks devil dog! I am putting my blues uniform together for the first time ever. Im new to the family

  • @Cowwarrior289 Welcome to the gun club! ERRR!

  • @phenom65 How come you don't have an Eagle Globe and Anchor on your belt.

  • @xXThermobaricXx This is a belt I happened to find which obviously existed before I picked up NCO, I got out in 2006. Yut!

  • @phenom65 So you get the Eagle Globe and Anchor when you reach Corporal?

  • @xXThermobaricXx Absolutely, I also got kneed in my thighs for that bloodstripe.

  • oorah devil dog! I was clueless about this belt until I watched this.

  • @killuall247 errrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

    Thank You,

    GySgt, Schwenzer-DI

  • @cadetmarinecorp1995 Oohra! GySgt!

  • @cadetmarinecorp1995 bullshit I have a strong feeling 1995 is your DOB. And in that case, you wouldn't even be old enough to enter the Corps! In addition, a Drill Instructor would not be watching a video on how to assemble a belt. You are FOS!

  • @cutmullets If you must know 1995 is when i joined the corp! thats why its cadet!!!-marine corp!!! 1995....that means that i was a cadet in basic training in the year of 1995... btw wha doe's FOS mean??? sorry it took so long to replie i was at camp blanding doing a parade in florida for the last 9 days.

    Thank you,

    GySgt, Schwenzer -DI

  • @cadetmarinecorp1995 errrrrrrrr!

  • Salty as hell.

  • Its to bad you did not record your top time on assembly i train my recruits to do that in 45 seconds. But that still makes me proud to see people taking in intrest in the corp.

    Thank you,

    Gunnery Sarg,Schwenzer USMC

  • @cadetmarinecorp1995 Fucking bullshit.

  • You know, I had no idea this many people were having difficulties with this. Apparently no one learns this in boot camp, including me. I figured this out on my own at my first ball while in my hotel room getting ready. Anyways I'm glad people find it useful. KILL!

  • Thats funny. Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and contact MCI and see if they can incorporate it into their next series.
