but not to sound rude or anything but it burns me when people don't believe in something when they have facts at there feet and just don't wanna believe
that's dumb that's like some one saying they don't believe in fire even though its in front of there eyes i can understand the guy thought they were fake but why would anyone fake it what would they gain from it that's the question and saying only in Alaska that there can be a big foot well i guess all of the bears, deer, bore, and other wild animals just live there to and not here all over the Usa so i guess i imagined that deer i killed with my truck with major cost in repairs not real?
My dad ended up quitting after that. It was definately a bigfoot. Probably several. None of the dears had been eaten. None of the animals were eaten actually. Just left for dead. My dad worked a couple days after that with a loaded shot gun in the draw at the fruit stand. Then he quit. The found tracks I think too. Years later my dad too my bro and I there. It was really interesting to see the place. Their are swamps around it.
The he heard the animals squeeling and making a lot of noise in the distance. He left the fruit stand that night around 11 or 12 and he was totally freaked out. He had to walk all the back to end of the store to shut the lights off. He left . The next day all the animals but the alligators were dead. The dear ran themselves into the high fence and snapped their neck.
I totally believe in bigfoot. My father use to work for a fruit company in Florida called Flamingo Groves. He was just out of high school and he lived in Florida with my grandfather and grandmother. He worked at the fruit stand until like 11 or 12 at night and had to close it up. One night he hood something walking on the roof of the fruit stand and the building. He thought it was the peacocks. The he hood...continued in my next comment
I believe those footprints he saw will rumble around in his head for awhile until his brain hits over-load. Then in order for him to come to some form of cognitive closure, he begins doing his own research...he's been squatched!
The saying goes "truth is in the pudding" and so is the existence of this creature. I find it strange if I understood your converstion correctly that this skeptic, which I am also, said that these creatures could not be found in the continental USA after he found the footprints. Presently I'm researching "Napes" a term coined by Lauren Coleman and this may explain the diversity of these beings.

@flycatchful yes it was strange to hear him say these things but he was sure that a person couldn't have made them prints.
