there is something i never understand: how can she, and so many other singers perform such a nice song, without crying? i mean, i got lost in tears just by listening!
Sometimes, a singer is moved to tears, it this happens, they must sing the song till they become desensitized . As singers our job is to make the audience cry not our selves. Hope this helps.

I was around 16 when she first performed this song. I was in love and I was gay. I thought this kind of beauty and talent was commonplace. Boy, was I wrong. It's a good thing modern technology has frozen these moments. This kind of phenomenon deserves to be seen over and over again. Things go at such a fast pace these days, if there was a person out there as appealing as Olivia they would never be noticed.
Wonderfully said! I was 14 and gay! (Though I really didn't know it then). When we were kids vocalists had voices and music had melodies. Today's music is a sham, I'm glad youtube exists so when I feel a bit pensive I can watch and listen and smile to when life was simpler and for me the world was a better place to live!
All these clips on YouTube are amazing! I bought her compilation double dvd a while ago hoping to see some of these performances and it was very disappointing. i used to always prefer agnetha over olivia. i have all there records and cds, but you have to admit olivia has a better vocal range then agnetha. example from her album "totally hot" listen to the song "please dont keep me waiting" it shows how good her range is. i believe agnetha could also go that high but she never pushed herself hard enough to do it. from abba to her post abba carrier you could tell she wasn't pushed hard enough, and thats why her singles didn't make it as far.

i think olivia is 5'6, and agnetha and frida always wore really big heels so i think they looked extra tall compared to olivia there. i also think agnetha and olivia both looked amazing in the 60's 70's and 80's, but after that agnetha didn't really come out.. and if you seen her lately.. yeah.. check it out yourself (im a HUGE agnetha fan by the way) but i think olivia looks alot better then agnetha now adays even tho agnetha is my favourite singer and olivia is my second.

Sometimes, a singer is moved to tears, it this happens, they must sing the song till they become desensitized . As singers our job is to make the audience cry not our selves. Hope this helps.

As a singer, our job is to adopt the emotion of a song as our own, so that we can convincingly convey that emotion to the audience. We must never become "desensitized" - just can't get so choked up we can't sing properly!

The tone and smoothness of her voice is very sensual, no booty shaking or stripping or over the top dance needed. Tops any female artist available nowadays, I'm 34 yrs not old and I I've listened to thousands of albums.

It did look like she was tearing up at the end, but the fan [not one of the fans, but the air circulator hahaha] surely had something to do with that.
But it made for a very heart felt looking performance whether she felt it or not. And wow does she look great!

I was around 16 when she first performed this song. I was in love and I was gay. I thought this kind of beauty and talent was commonplace. Boy, was I wrong. It's a good thing modern technology has frozen these moments. This kind of phenomenon deserves to be seen over and over again. Things go at such a fast pace these days, if there was a person out there as appealing as Olivia they would never be noticed.

Wonderfully said! I was 14 and gay! (Though I really didn't know it then). When we were kids vocalists had voices and music had melodies. Today's music is a sham, I'm glad youtube exists so when I feel a bit pensive I can watch and listen and smile to when life was simpler and for me the world was a better place to live!

All these clips on YouTube are amazing! I bought her compilation double dvd a while ago hoping to see some of these performances and it was very disappointing. Nothing from the 60s or 70s at all, it was mainly a barrage of 80s videos and a live show from the 80s. So thanks to everyone who has taken the time to share their recordings, I'm a grateful fan.

i used to always prefer agnetha over olivia. i have all there records and cds, but you have to admit olivia has a better vocal range then agnetha. example from her album "totally hot" listen to the song "please dont keep me waiting" it shows how good her range is. i believe agnetha could also go that high but she never pushed herself hard enough to do it. from abba to her post abba carrier you could tell she wasn't pushed hard enough, and thats why her singles didn't make it as far.

I read somewhere that back in the day she was 5'6" but just 108 pounds--when I saw her live, I'd say that was about right.

Yeah, I saw this show and the girls from ABBA are both 5"7 3/4'. On the Internet you can read Livvy is 5"6' (for example on IMDb).

Im not sure of her height, but i rekon shes 5ft 5in look at her on her Olivia special with the Abba girls who stand 5ft7 and a half each shes quiet small compared to them both! also Agnetha is just as stunning as olivia if not more x.

i think olivia is 5'6, and agnetha and frida always wore really big heels so i think they looked extra tall compared to olivia there. i also think agnetha and olivia both looked amazing in the 60's 70's and 80's, but after that agnetha didn't really come out.. and if you seen her lately.. yeah.. check it out yourself (im a HUGE agnetha fan by the way) but i think olivia looks alot better then agnetha now adays even tho agnetha is my favourite singer and olivia is my second.
