i want to buy a gun with a co2 cartrigde ....but one question do i have to use it with co2 ....or can i put the co2 thingy away and does it still shoot (i have lots of airsoft guns but not with co2 cartridge)

if i put the co2 tank in, shoot it a few times, then take it out does all the co2 that i didn't use go to waste or can i put the same tank back in a few days later? please reply

@SharqSkin77 The CO2 is punctured when screwed in and tensioned against the housing. So, if you remove the CO2 tank, it will discharge all CO2 left in the tank and it will be lost.

@1291m16 You should never store a CO2 tank in a gun more than a day or two, because it is hard on the gun. It causes some parts, such as the seals, to fail more quickly than normal.

@UmarexAir You should make an adapter that screws onto the 88g capsule that is a shut off valve. Then you can remove the capsule to prevent damage to the gun and to lower warrantee claims, while, for the consumer, maintain co2.

@UmarexAir That Co2 tank can go on for alot of shots.. so you'd probably be keeping that in for alot longer than a few days.

i have a crosman co2 400fps pistol, and with the right 12g cartridges i get about 40 magazines, or 500 bbs. so if this is like 8 x more then alot of bbs (unless it wastes co2) cuz if i use an 88g cartridge in my paintball gun its about 200 shots. but paintballs are way bigger so i would bet on about 800 shots per cannister
