I thought the same thing about this game at first, but now I think its great. The running game is fun, the jukes actually work, and the graphics are nice. My only problem is, like you said, your defense doesn't depend the pass well. I only get about 2 interpections a game, and this is by luck. The computer, on the other hand, intercepts me easily. I noramally win by 20+ points, so its not that hard. The first week, I hated this game, but I like it now.

From what I've seen they fixed the retarded AI for the NPC. Seems like they actually tried to fix some stuff. Madden 08 was one of the worst games I've ever purchased. Madden 05 was the best Madden imo. I skipped 06 and 07. I'm kinda excited about this years... but trying not to be too excited cause 08 was a piece of shit. I'm waiting for reviews.

I like the classic view on the older madden versions and to me how you view the game is HUGE for your experience in the game.... This Madden looks great so far, but the true test will be if they added in all of the previous features of the PS2 Madden (slide protection, all of the training camp drills, etc). One thing I hated about last year was the pass blocking and the fact that you still couldn't do all of the pre-snap stuff like you could on the PS2 version. There were no smart runs to make the receiver run past the first down marker, and you couldn't flip the play at the LOS.This could be a great game if they fix this
