  • The writers and creators of this most BRILLIANT show - Anthony Jay & Jonathan Lynn deserve a Noble Praise Award for the funniest and the most clever political comedy show EVER !!! 30 years on and it is still hellerious and current ! BRAVO !

  • @artyfarty3 I assume you mean Nobel Prize Award unless Noble Praise is some award unheard of?

  • @TheCardolan woops , sorry , my spelling is wrong . You are right , i did mean "Nobel" -. Thanks for the correction :)

  • British Humor at its best. This world would be so much poorer without this unique art.

  • Very funny, sadly relevant today.

  • wow... this business about the banks is all too relevant now as it was then.

    A crooked banker must be honest or clever...

  • This show is priceless. It's not just hilarious and disturbingly accurate; it's a work of art. If Shakespeare is enough to make you proud to be British then this show definitely will, because it's even better.

  • priceless

  • Bernard Woolley is played by Derek Fowlds, I believe.

  • bernard ... flowds is still alive all the rest of the charators have died ......

  • I still like Obama...but the first two minutes strike close to home.

  • The Sun is read by people with an IQ 0f 80 which matches the size of the tits on page 3.

  • The stuff spoken about the investment bank and the bail out is so relevant for our times.

  • "When you've got all that Arab money at 11%, you'd look pretty silly if you didn't lend it to someone for 14."

  • All that stuff about the City... Nothing ever changes.

  • The Daily Mirror is read by people who think they run the country;

    The Guardian is read by people who think they ought to run the country;

    The Times is read by the people who actually do run the country;

    The Daily Mail is read by the wives of the people who run the country;

    The Financial Times is read by people who own the country;

    The Morning Star is read by people who think the country ought to be run by another country;

    And The Daily Telegraph is read by people who think it is.

  • Richard Vernon was f***ing HILARIOUS in this. All those cliches...

  • And what about people who don't care who runs the country providing it supplies them with food and lodgins? What do they read? That's brilliant. Whose tits Bernard was reffering to? Any Ideas? I remember in Italy some porn actress was the member of parliament....

  • @tomenicus the sun page 3 always has a least a lady with huge tits

  • Quality! Does that mean the Metro is read by people who think they know how to run the country but can't afford to own it? (Judging by the letters page)

  • Bernards statement was spot on :)

  • The behaviour of banks... never grows old.

  • That bit about the papers was genius. The writing on this show is epic sometimes.

  • spent all night rewatching these, and saw some new ones as well.

    Many many thanks monk.

  • Brilliant description of the Papers. The sun don't care who run the country as long as she's got big tits

  • @brianclough

  • The papers :D
