Drive it to work and back every day.... Drive it to my girlfriends2-3 times a week (25 miles away).... So yeah I guess it would be considered a daily driver.... what kind of point you trying to make?
You are correct.. Those are 0-60 times. However we had a marked off quarter mile The speedometer and an analog wind up stop watch showed between 15 and 17 seconds depending on how many friends were in the car. Your video is a blast from the past.
We had this car in a fully equipped convertible. It had air, full power, 8 track reverb, mag hub caps. Navy Blue with a white top. It went through 3 bad teen aged drivers. I had a Charger but I always loved this car because of the way it ran, rode, and handled. What a car. Yes and it was a 7 to 8 second quarter mile car. May I also add with the air on and the top down. Gas milage was good in fact better than the 73 Luxury LeMans it was traded for. Downside, Power windows kept breaking.
Now that's what I call a real car don't need no airbags. I saw the story in Hemmings Mucscle car magazine on the 1972 CHP Polara that's fast for any car let along a 4,100 lb car with a 140 mph maintained speed. I gotta have one of these.
for my chrysler new yorker(not much different, except with the 440 engine) from 8 to 12 mpg, The comfy-est ride in any car I have ever owned. Indestructable. I slammed into the back of a civic going maybe 10 mph with no damage. If I ran into a solid object, it might bend something, but the car would still look okay, I'm sure.
I once put one of these things backward at 70 mph on an icy road that runs parallel to the interstate here. That was back when the interstate speed limit was 55. I was passing cars on the interstate while I was going backward!
Oh mine is a 1966 as well with a 383 /6.3 liter. Im looking for a wiring harness for it do you know where I could get one? Ive tried Yearone(Dot)com and they dont have one. Only one Ive found that resembles it is on Ebay and its universal 12 circut wiring harness. Im also looking for the decals for the from and sides and the hood piece, cant find them anywhere.
The 4 Door isnt really Rare, But you Could make an awesome Cop Car out of it!!! Try Some of the different Mopar foums for the wiring Harness. And Check out the C Body Drydock for the Hood Ornament, I'm sure you could find one there.
Thanks I will look into that. it used to be a cop car or something it had decals on it we pulled off and it has a department of defense sticker on the bumber lol.

Appropriate Doors tune, and not so loud as to drown out the sound.

What are the peformance specs. and times on these cars? Miles per gallon? 9 or less? Comfortable riding especially on bumpy roads?
Very durable? What are the bumpers rated for 5 mph taps or more?

Thats cool! You should make it look like a detective/undercover cop car. That would be awesome. Does it have a 4 barrel and dual exhaust?
richiesdodge383 2 years ago
It has a 4 barrel carb and dual straight pipes. it sounds just like yours.
