  • Sorry if I offend anyone but damm the truck what of the firefighters were they hurt did they get assistance ASAP did the fire itself get away also not sure if they should have been on train tracks at all were the trains stopped in that section too many unanswered questions

  • Well that' what they get for being lazy, fat and out of shape. You should never ride on top of the engine likethat for that reason. Get your lazy asses off the engine and do a running attack. PLus get that full turn out gear off, it's a wildland fire.... not a house fire. Retards.

There is no such thing as a "running attack" ANYWHERE in fire service, especially wildland fire. As for the gear?...You try fighting a wildland fire and experience a wind shift and tell me how that 1100 degree wind feels on your unprotected back you stupid fucking stain.

Second, they are called engines except in the the volunteer and some career departments for some odd reason. Third, it IS called a running attack because you are on foot. Fourth, you try fighting a wildland fire in full turn out gear moron. You are aware they make PPE for wildland fire fightng right????

  • Looks to me that if the driver hadnt backed up,they would have been ok,if you look closely you can see him back up then the roadbed for the tracks give way under the weight of the truck

  • This is you should never, never, never ever be "on" moving/operating apparatus. Did you see the way those guys were like rag dolls? That thing could have rolled right over them. They are so lucky they wern't hurt.

  • @chechnya Because I work for a company that upfits vehicles like that.

    The exosketeton bars on 4x4 brush trucks are designed to hold the weight of entire chassis + water in the event of a rollover.

    Usually they're 3 inch tubing, welded in triangles for max strength.

    The people inside the cab are obviously far more important then the cab.

    Brush trucks like that roll over more often then you think. I've seen a few come back from rollovers.

  • My wife is on a couple of fires in TX right now, so we have been talking quite a bit about the common practice there of riding on the truck while fighting fire. This is why my crew DOES NOT ride on the back of the truck.

  • @bdisposition granted that is a good point but the driver should of been experienced enough to know that that isnt the best place to hang a u-bolt. im an aussie and im in the local CFA and when we turn out to fires we only let the most experienced driveres behind the wheel at a major fire or a fire in a difficult place like near a railway line.

    great video hope no one was hurt in this accident.
