The clip from the movie used to be on YouTube somewhere. What happened to it? Waiting for the Worms, Comfortably Numb, and others have the movie clips. So why is The Thin Ice gone?
Who the hell do you think you are? How old are you? 12? The album talks about putting queers up against the Wall in "In The Flesh?"!
"over the top diva shit for me"
No f*ckin' evidence to support this bullsh*t claim.
"meddle - dark side of the moon ftw"
The Wall, along with Meddle, and Dark Side of the Moon is music you have to understand. Yea, that's right, understand something for once, instead of nodding your head when you hear it.
@Rorschach25739 never liked this album....i've really tried man...trust me, i'm not even a Barret fanboy or something, i'm not 12....ill explain..."gay" and "diva" cause i think Waters crossed the line of "wtf? my life is ruined and im in pain...look at me look at me...its my life...not the other guys"...even Gilmour stated once that this album is too dramatic and sometimes kinda shallow in a sense...whereas albums like Dark side or Meddle were made as a Floyd unit and doesnt feels forced
@theachtungtree Thank you for explaining that, because the way you made the comment, it sounds like you're a 12 year old troll.
Many people though believe the album is more about Syd Barret... Roger Waters got the idea for this album though while at a concert, wanting to put a wall between him and the audience.
Regardless, this album get's in connection with everyone's life. Everyone can relate to the feelings conveyed through Pink's story.
@Rorschach25739 no prob man....yeah, kinda immature my comment. Another thing....after watching the movie i pretty much agree with Waters on one thing....it was so overwhelming that at the end diggesting the whole thing wasn't an option for the audience....they needed a more subtle direction to it...ps: AHM, ummagumma, obscured by clouds, Dark Side and meddle period is my fav Floyd time line to date...i can relate to those records so well :) ....Pompeii was epiccccc

As a thirty-something guy, i have to say Pink Floyd is on of the most talented bands of all time. I am really impressed with their ability to tie songs together and (in one case) create an album syncd to a major movie. None of the (at 2011) modern products of the music "industy" can re-create this.

why do people relate lil wayne to pink floyd? completely different genre of music. music is so subjective, your not gonna put this on at a party yo, but lil wayne is the kind of vibe you want in the background because its so generic.
@cimattikaiman Autotune was invented yet. What they did was they overdubbed Roger Waters' vocal tracks. John Lennon would do it all the time because he didn't like the sound of his own voice. In fact, even Kurt Cobain did it back in '91.
I grew up with stoner parents I would get lost in Pink Floyd when they played Pink Floyd, at a young age, I still get lost and still consider them completely in a league of their own.
@BobDoleNSatanRmyniGz the VERY SAME THING happened to me the other day, but then I came to in a stadium bathroom, reading a book of poems. I was hot too, so I cooled my forehead with water from the toilet I was leaning against. Good times.

If anyone from this band took that advice, we would have missed out on a lot.
ANIMALS YOU PEOPLE! ANIMIALS is the one that slid under the radar......Dogs and Pigs and Sheep..and the Pigs on the wings ...Jamming like that occurs NOWHERE else in the whole thing... Dark Side THRU Animals are all PERFECT music. ALL 100 out of 100 Not one bad sond from '72 tilll '77' but Echoes off Meddle remains the most perfect piece of music ever constructed. Cheers. Shine on.
@MissCartoonist So funny.... cuz i like the 1st half... but the crowning end is just ..... so fuckingggg great. it's like facing the end to an awesome start. Water and oil if you will but both only beautiful if in the same bottle.
@MissCartoonist That's the intention. To start it off nice and sweet, representing the innocent beginnings of life, then the dark "thin ice" lyrics come in representing the loss of this nice world to reality.
MY OPINION 1. Animals 2. DSotM 3. The Wall 4. Wish You Were Here 5. Meddle 6. Division Bell 7. Saucerful 8. The Final Cut 9. S/T Haven't heard enough of the others.
