O.M.G, I watched Wicker Park today, again, after 3 years and when I'd heard this song, I started to cry like a weirdo, seriously.

'The Scientist' was so perfect for that part [at the airport] of the movie that I couldn't stop crying with Matt. Extremely beautiful. I want this happy ending ♥♥

Josh Harnett was often criticized in this film for acting wooden throughout the movie. He was distant toward his fiance and even more so with Alex after they slept together. I say that he had just bottled up his emotions so he wouldn't get hurt again, and this last scene is him finally releasing all of those emotions because he's finally with the woman he truly loves.

Who could critisize the way he was with Alex after sleeping with her? It was obvious that he knew did a mistake and he knew it, he was feeling uncomfortable and wanted to escape from her... I loved how he was looking to her in the cafe sitting with Luke, it was scary :)

hartnett nailed this scene... his facial expressions really made you feel the pain, the emotional relief, the almost uncontrollable desire to hold the love of your life that you've been searching for. when he is looking at her he is completely convincing that he never wants to let her out of his sight again... she did alright.. mostly she just didnt ruin the scene. he made it what it is... memorable and beautiful.

I remember seeing this movie for the first time about 5 months ago when I was kind of obsessed with Josh Hartnett (I made it my mission to watch all his films). Until doing some research into the song 'The Scientist' about 5 minutes ago, I never realised it appeared in 'Wicker Park'. So I took a guess that the song would play around the end of the movie because of the puzzling, yet beautiful nature of the song. Which is why I watched this video!

The first time I saw this I thought it would have been better if they hugged BEFORE they kissed, because you would be so desperate to just hold that person again.
