  • Look at that figure! NO one would ever have thought she had a kid at nineteen!

  • Check out her figure! NO one would ever believe she had a kid at nineteen!

  • Wonderful video - thank you. Vivien is my favourite actress.. She had everything.

  • definitely gorgeous! no operations, no photoshop and other computer technology, no body-shaping sports or make up technique, and yet so beautiful. if it were today, with today's tecnique, she would look triple as much gorgeous.

  • GORGEOUS!

  • Thank you so much. This was lovely, a real time capsule. Hell, Vivien Leigh could have worn a burlap sack and twine and she'd still have looked amazing.

    Thanks again

  • I cannot believe she thought herself unattractive. I read somewhere that at one time Hedy Lamarr thought herself unattractive as well. Goodness, what was with these girls? They're the most beautiful women in the world!

  • She thought herself unattractive? Beautiful and humble!

  • @ruby 9876, Unfortunately, beautiful but too neurotic, over self-critical. A fringe casualty of having to always face public and camera scrutiny. And feel she need always look like a delicate lady. (Hence, her fear of her imagined overlarge wrists and hands.)

  • @ruby9876 I don't think she thought herself unattractive; rather she was aware of what she perceived as individual flaws, e.g., neck and hands. And while her very long neck was attractive and added to her overall appeal (at least I think so), she really did have rather ungainly hands, especially for such a small woman.

  • just lovely - thanks for the slideshow!

  • I remember how sad I was in 1967 when I read in the New York Times that the world's Scarlett had died - but, she lives on in her movies and photos and, I'm certain, smiles on the new generations of admirers. She was the one actor I so much wanted to meet when I was young.

  • Thank you. Vivien is not only a great actress but a great beauty. Some of those shots are breathtaking.

  • Beautiful!!Thank you!

  • Vivien Liegh and Gene Tierney are my favorite actresses of the Studio era. Gene had done a few Vogue spreads one during the run of "The Male Animal" on broadway 1940 when she was just nineteen. How did you find your pictures?

  • She was very beautiful. Even in her middle age she was beautiful.

  • she was breathtaking.

  • vivien was soooo beautiful!!, a timeless beauty, she could be a TOP MODEL TODAY, no doubt. thanks for this wonderful video, I love vivien!!!!!!!!. carlos

  • I agree with you. I am glad that you liked the video!

  • thank you for this! I adore this woman!

  • Your Welcome! I am glad that you liked it!

  • I just love her!

  • Me Too! She is such a great actress and also such a great beauty....

  • Oh heavens, Vivian was stunning then and is still stunning even by today's standards. This video was made by Cecelia Leigh...her daughter? I wonder...

  • Oh no, I am not her daughter it is just coincidence.....Her daughters name is Suzanne, she was born in 1933...She was Viviens only child...Vivien has three grandsons...Neville, Johnathan and Rupert...She has several great-grandchildren, Ashua, Amy, Tessa and Sophie.....

  • Vivien thought that she was unattractive?! If only we could all be as unattractive as she is! She is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen.

  • She also said that Gladys Cooper is the most attractive woman in the world to her....I don't understand how she thinks that she is unattractive..Did she not see all of those speechless people?

  • Exactly, I think it was John Mills who said she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life, and she was even more stunning in person. I googled Gladys Cooper and she is attractive but not nearly as much as Vivien!

  • Yes I Know! But Vivien also said that anyone could be beautiful.......

  • That's true, inner beauty makes someone beautiful.

  • She also said that she wanted to be remembered as a great talent and not a great beauty...But she is remembered for both!

  • Recently I was reading some of Viviens quotes and I realized that I made a mistake...She thought that Diana Cooper was the most beautiful person....But she did act with Gladys in "That Hamilton Woman" and she did date her son John Buckmaster and also dated and lived with her step-son John "Jack" Merivale...Sorry for the mistake....

  • tHANKS SO MUCH. SUCH A GIFT! I LOVE VIVIEN, TO ME THE MOST FASCINATING LADY IN THE WORLD
