SeaWorld Trainers Try To Explain Aggression Between Kalina And Kayla

All the whales were extremely upset because a baby was removed from the park and moved to one of Sea world's CA locations. This made them extremely emotional and for whatever reason, Kalina and Kayla were at odds. It's considered that this is what caused Tilikum to become upset. This was not "Friendly behavior", this was Kayla showing total defiance to her trainers. Sea World made those animals unstable, ultimately killing a trainer.

on the katina incident. january when the stadium was getting rennovations and everyonewas in the show pool. katina and kayla were having issues with each other.. Kayla went after katina and gave her some bad bite marks on her back..they were VERY noticeable,worse then kalina

I think being stuck in the same tank for a long time and katina does like to remind everyone whos in charge so i think she over did it and kayla just bit her out of annoyance

@AmeliaValentine they were having dominance issues..kayla was trying to gain more dominace so she decided to take a aim at kalina..kalina however definitly was not having it and and then (what i ve been hearing) put kayla in her place..

but kayla(she does get preetty mad) raked kalina as a last "i got u"

sort of like when she bit katina on the back and left some serious marks in january

They managed to sort it out in like late june early july :))) and were back to friends b4 kali passed :(

Im not gonna lie..i sorta dislike kayla after what she did to kalina :P and im glad they made up shortly after :)

But Im pretty sure if she did that to taima then hell would break loose. lucky lina isnt a aggressive orca

Maybe there wouldn't be all this agression if the orcas weren't thrown together and forced to mingle, instead of growing up with their family pod and knowing each other from birth. Im not saying the orcas don't exhibit dominance in the wild because Im sure they do, but I do know that alot of times SeaWorld has many issues with agression due to forcing strangers to interact.

@alinanazarenko1 it's a rake mark. it doesn't look like it's bleeding just cut. the whales rake each other with there teeth to show dominance or if they may be having issues. they are harmless except for that they hurt. in the end they just heal
