1 hit poster is an idiot. If not for U2, THIS band would be the greatest Gen X New Wave band. RIP Stuart, you were a musical warrior, I can see you running up a hill in your kilt, bagpipes blaring and off to fight some great battle. Thank you for being, than you for your music. :-)
@holly007abl I just cried, like a man! we lost a warrior in Musical sense! the coont was more musically genuis than an Ipod! Even John Smeaton would`nt go near him, Chuck Norris was already knocked oot by this time by BRUUUUUUUUUCE! Stuartie boy lives on longer than any all of us, wotta talent! R.I.P
I 1st seen this band way back in the late seventies/early eighties for FREE in "Larks In The Park" when bands would play free in Sefton Park, Liverpool. My girlfriend took me as she was really into them. After that day I've been listenening to them ever since! Very Underated!
God what a waste of a life.He was awesome. What actually happened to Stuart Adamson?I heard he got 15 years sobriety and then broke out again and it was around that time he died. What year did he die?
they still mean something now, in 2011, look at the dancers in the rain, enjoyment, pure , i loved em then, love em more now. At the time i always wondered why other shite bands got on telly more coz no-one was more on it, especially live than big country.Ask anyone who saw them blow bowie away live at wembley.

Best gig I ever attended! July 22, 1995 - there was a huge thunder storm and heavy rains in the region causing only in a small city nearby damages of 40million DMarks (20Mio€:)
i,ve been to see my idols BC many many times..but hell did i miss this one...seeing peeps dancing in the rain and and really enjoying themselves..Magic !!!...that,s what BC,s music is all about
Yes, I was there. "Das Fest" in Karlsruhe, Germany, 1995-07-22. First it was a hot saturday afternoon and then it started to rain and rain and rain. I don't remember wether or when the rain stopped this evening, but the great open-air-concert of Big Country semed to be a neverending party, despite of the rain!
Bought a little tear to my eye. They were enjoying the whole thing, the crowd were really smiling the weather was f*cking awful. Utterly out of this universe.
people in europe know how to party. you go to a concert in america and it starts raining everyone starts turning into snails underneath umbrellas. these germans are just having the time of their lives
Love Big Country...instantly recognisable sound...couldn't be anyone else...the mark of a truly great artist (s). The excitement on this is sooo tangible...takes me back to when I first heard them...happy days!!
In a Big Country dreams stay with you...........Stuart, you will always be the man, a musical legend never to be forgot!! Fields of fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damm...these were talented and terrific artists! It still grieves me that he died so tragically...such a loss. Big Country never got the appreciation they deserved. Hopefully, they will always be remembered for their true talent. That is far better than being just a hot, brief trend. Oh, and I just love the steam coming off his back!
Saw Big Country a couple of times, last time was at Knebworth when they were one of Queens support acts, they were a great band love their music still !!!!
When I first heard this as a teen, I was blown away. It was so different and unlike any genre I had experienced. This makes me feel so young and untouchable like it did when I first heard my heartbeat almost louder than the drums. Does that make me a geek? who cares, I just got happy! Time is so fleeting, enjoy it you youngsters! Make it COUNT! Do something that is gonna MATTER! I'm praying for all our youth, I know things are tough on you guys. Need advice? Drop by my channel! Peace and luv
this is too rock, the dude gives out hugs, very cool...see radiohead @ Pinkpop, Tom Yorke wears a yellow mac in the rain for the crowd...not outfit for rockin...I loved this guy above....very sad, seems very genuine/real...hurts sometimes...beautiful person...I love music & people who make music....SHHHHA!
I can't think of any band that would show the fans the appreciation that Stu did. I get the feeling that these guys are genuine, not your typical egotistical rock musicians at all. You can tell that really enjoy doing what they do, and the crowds are always so enthusiastic.
What a shame he's gone such a great voice would love to have seen them live today . Anyone know where i can get this whole show on dvd? respect to all.
