  • I 1st seen this band way back in the late seventies/early eighties for FREE in "Larks In The Park" when bands would play free in Sefton Park, Liverpool. My girlfriend took me as she was really into them. After that day I've been listenening to them ever since! Very Underated!

  • What a bloody night that must have been. one you will never forget if you were there

  • Shit hot!

  • wot a band ,i dont understand why he did it ,they would and are be bigger than u2 ,R.I..P. Stu.

  • You don't have to do something that "counts" just do something that matters to you!

  • God what a waste of a life.He was awesome. What actually happened to Stuart Adamson?I heard he got 15 years sobriety and then broke out again and it was around that time he died. What year did he die?

  • they still mean something now, in 2011, look at the dancers in the rain, enjoyment, pure , i loved em then, love em more now. At the time i always wondered why other shite bands got on telly more coz no-one was more on it, especially live than big country.Ask anyone who saw them blow bowie away live at wembley.

  • Big Country have gave me so much enjoyment thru the yrs.lost count how many times stuarts guitar has made my hair on the back of my neck stand up.thanks mate.R.I.P

  • Best gig I ever attended! July 22, 1995 - there was a huge thunder storm and heavy rains in the region causing only in a small city nearby damages of 40million DMarks (20Mio€:)

    Stuart R.I.P.

  • The most original band of my generation. Their music and lyrics unmatched anywhere else in music history.

  • I had the album back in the day etc and loved this song...but most of their other music was boring middle of the road crap compared with this.

  • One of my all time favourite bands. Shine on Stuart,

  • I'm sure most bands would pack up and go in doors. Big Country have the Scottish spirit. Rain, Snow, Hurricanes don't bother them. OH no.

  • Yes, I was there. "Das Fest" in Karlsruhe, Germany, 1995-07-22. First it was a hot saturday afternoon and then it started to rain and rain and rain. I don't remember wether or when the rain stopped this evening, but the great open-air-concert of Big Country semed to be a neverending party, despite of the rain!

  • why did he kill himself, looks great here..just never will understand

  • seems like festivals weren't about killing one another back in the 90's hahaha

  • Bought a little tear to my eye. They were enjoying the whole thing, the crowd were really smiling the weather was f*cking awful. Utterly out of this universe.

  • RIP Stuart. You brought happiness to milions and still do.

  • Fantastic version of this. They were just fantastic live.

  • Everyone loved him! Look at him in the crowd hugging everyone!!! Amazing man! Watch over all of us, my friend!

  • Hi dose anybody know how Stuart died?

  • Song still holds up....GREAT tune!

  • In a Big Country dreams stay with you...........Stuart, you will always be the man, a musical legend never to be forgot!! Fields of fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Take it back. Great everything. haha

  • Great drummer

  • Damm...these were talented and terrific artists! It still grieves me that he died so tragically...such a loss. Big Country never got the appreciation they deserved. Hopefully, they will always be remembered for their true talent. That is far better than being just a hot, brief trend. Oh, and I just love the steam coming off his back!

  • Hi what year was this thay look older but still play grate.

  • @kc5cxu Uhhh, it says 1995 in the title.

  • i think 1 of the most underrated bands ss haters but this is real music

  • @toadiesrule couldnt agree more, Fuck Bono and U2, Stu and Big Country all the way. Im 17, wasnt around in thier time, but i really wish i was. :/

  • @jimshady13 I am lucky mate, I am 52 years old and saw them live....AWSOME.

  • @dartmoordog aaaaah :) Jealous, i cant see anything as good as big country coming around for my generation.

  • Saw Big Country a couple of times, last time was at Knebworth when they were one of Queens support acts, they were a great band love their music still !!!!

  • When I first heard this as a teen, I was blown away. It was so different and unlike any genre I had experienced. This makes me feel so young and untouchable like it did when I first heard my heartbeat almost louder than the drums. Does that make me a geek? who cares, I just got happy! Time is so fleeting, enjoy it you youngsters! Make it COUNT! Do something that is gonna MATTER! I'm praying for all our youth, I know things are tough on you guys. Need advice? Drop by my channel! Peace and luv

  • @flowrpowrlovechild I dont need advice want some wisdom :) its lacking in this world

  • this video is excellent. the sound is very good. i guess my brand new head phones make a difference too.

  • USA 1 - 0 ALG

    BOO-YAH!

'IN A BIG COUNTRY - DREAMS STAY WITH YOU'

  • Wow! Killer performance!!! They gave it there all.

  • amazing!!!

  • Forgot how good Big Country where live RIP Stuart

  • @prsfrank i don't really know this band, but i like this song. so could you tell me wich one Stuart is, and why he is dead? thanks!!!

  • @nibornna Lead Singer and guitar player and suicide

  • @prsfrank that suck's:( did he have a drug or drinking problem?

  • @nibornna Depression. Was found to be drunk when he strangled himself.

  • @jimshady13 that's really to bad, thank's for the info!!! peace!!

  • For me, this is so much better than the studio version. The sound seems so natural and raw and not produced. Absolutely F*****G love it.

  • this is too rock, the dude gives out hugs, very cool...see radiohead @ Pinkpop, Tom Yorke wears a yellow mac in the rain for the crowd...not outfit for rockin...I loved this guy above....very sad, seems very genuine/real...hurts sometimes...beautiful person...I love music & people who make music....SHHHHA!

  • My dad carried stuarts guitar around for him for quite along time.

  • @MrPurplehouse tell us more please.

  • I can't think of any band that would show the fans the appreciation that Stu did. I get the feeling that these guys are genuine, not your typical egotistical rock musicians at all. You can tell that really enjoy doing what they do, and the crowds are always so enthusiastic.

  • great band. sadly missed.

  • Bruccccccccccccccccccce, so take that look of Fear it does`nt fit you

  • one of the best bands i have ever seen!! The storm tour was brilliant.

  • what a concert, audience up to their knees in water and what a show Big Country put on, is there a DVD of this performance?

  • Gone but not forgotten!!

  • Feed the people...stay alive!!! You are still missed to this day.

  • @bigworld3001 off the b side of Band Aid if memory serves me correctly?

  • @prestwoodwolf i believe you are correct.

  • @bigworld3001 - How many people know that bit of the song but don't know that was him that said that on the Band AId track I wonder.......

  • @felixmyballs Indeed!!! But we know ;>)

  • One word .. Awesome...

  • Great band - great musicians - all round top notch.

  • Grandi

  • why can we never see the drum solo that starts this song..? sounds like an over dub→ anyone know if he actually plays that ALL at once- ?

  • Best live performance under shitty weather conditions? I think so.

  • Not long after I was born. Been listning to it since i can remember and still love it <3

  • Without a doubt one of the greatest bands to ever take to the stage.

    Great post - Thx Skapaul69

  • Holy frick, that was one of the coolest live performances I've ever seen.

  • This is my own personal anthem its been since I remember back in the early 80's.

  • Met Mark on Friday in Newcastle when he played for from the jam my mate dj's between each set and all i can say is what a true GENTLEMAN and a fantastic drummer

  • ...still one of the most amazing live performances of all time.

  • WE STILL MISS U STU,,,,,,,,,,,,REST IN PEACE MATE.fuckin hell his death still brings tears to my eyes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so so sad

  • whend they get the monkey.... wtf.... damn

  • My asian wife always tells me to quiet down when i sing along to bc. I always yell, "Huh, shugh!!" And she says, what is up with, "Huk, shu;lk"!!!!" Its a white thing baby.lol

  • You gotta SCREAM to this song, SHOUT !

  • "I never took the smile away from anybodies face" You certainly put a smile on mine, and still do.

Stuard Adamson - True legend, true gentleman - RIP

  • These guys were very, very good live. I saw the 95 gig at the Fleadh in Finsbury Park. Sadly my last BC concert. I'm still sad when I think about poor Stuart.

  • Dr. robocle or what is his nickname?

  • Dr. Roboto

  • fucking amazing drumming!!!!!!!

  • Skill.

  • pedals. AND skill

  • Jeez feling old here, saw them so many times. Oh yes and that fickle shite band called, erm, erm, U2 saw them also, then at that age I thought they were quite good also, just for a while :o) just for a brief while........

  • This is what it's all about...listening, watching, experiencing! Total perfection; really missing those times!

  • OASIS, FFS who the FOOK are they, Big Country just played real music oasis are more famous for the 2 girlie brothers dramas than there shit music, on yirself Stuart

  • This is starting to become my favorite song, out of all styles of music. A "big" statement....but true

  • restless natives got me into big country, so thank fuck for restless natives

  • Awesome song, love the way it sounds

  • Watch this OASIS....You are shite compared to BC.

  • As an American who grew up in the 80's with a lot of "stale" music, this band literally struck a cord with me. Maybe the most underated ROCK band in history with a rythem section comparable to Entwhistle and Moon of The Who. Great Stuff!!
