Okay @instrodepot3 you have proven that you know good music, because the songs t hat you've posted instrumentals of are some of the greatest RnB hits of the last 20 years. Much love to you boo!
They are from Oklahoma but it is a West Coast style of music they put out. When they first started out, they couldn't sell any records and their style was just too old. Then they met up with D.J. Rogers, a singer out of Los Angeles who decided to introduce the group to his friend, LA producer Lonnie Simmons who signed and produced and co-wrote all of the group's records under his brand new label, Total Experience Records, and then the group finally had success from there.
@Addiskrilla Actually they are from Tulsa Oklahoma. They originated as a collection of guys that did gigs all over the state, but grew quickly. Many of them attended college together at Langston University. The Greenwood Tulsa area, the street back then was booming with black business around the 20's when the race riot happened. It wasn't till years later the street Greenwood would be renamed Gap Band. But they had sold millions of records by then.

One of my favorites from these soldiers. One of their original drummers is from my hometown D.C. Brother R. Calhoun. Wow how 30+ has gone by!
