Cudowne tango, przepiekne, znalam tylko wykonywane przez Fogga, tego nie znalam. Ale jest równie piekne.

Moim zdaniem interpretacja Piotra Fronczewskiego jest najlepsza. Szkoda, że w necie nie można jej znaleźć. Podobnie jak nigdzie nie ma "Opery za trzy grosze" z udziałem między innymi P. Fronczewskiego i M. Zawadzkiej.

Świetna wersja tego wspaniałego utworu! Jedna tylko mała uwaga: myślę, że słowa w swej prostocie są tak wspaniałe, że można by i przetłumaczyć dosłownie ;) aczkolwiek to kwestia gustu, nie neguję.. absolutnie! :) DZIĘKI!

Maybe not "a song of love", but the Tango was always considered the "dance of love".

You know...here (on my side) it was both a dance and a song, or there were tangos which were rather sung than danced, like the present one.

Polish tangos never had those 'original' sharp accents, were sentimental.

It's a pity, but according to pre-war style only the refrain of this song was included here.

The 1st verse and refr. we can find in Mieczysław Fogg - Ostatnia niedziela, 1936 (added to YT by Grzegorz). Fogg's recording is probably the most popular and it could be found on several CDs.

But entire song (over 4 min., two verses + refr.) was recorded by Fogg after the WW2, wasn't it?

Yes, there was only ca. 3:00 minutes on one side and for Odeon instrumental part was very important. "More words" will be tomorrow. Then some unexpected (?) variations.
