It Depends on the trucks.......the old ones we went over with weren't Armored now they are. i'm guessing theses ones didn't come armored they may have had some extra metal welded on but since the gunners didn't have anything around them its pretty much saying these ones probably weren't up armored.
humvees are bullet proof to some extent. they do have some armor which don't get me wrong does stop some bullets and shrapnel from penetrating but not all of it and what it dosen't stop from going through are the ones that kill.
no these humvees that we were equipped with are not as bullet proof as u think they do not protect against ak47 and up only protects against small firearms like handgun

He put his head up and a tracer went just beside his head, if he was 6 inches to the left he would've been dead. it would've went straight into his face. watch at 1:15. And when you're ambushed at night, you have a 360 threat. So you do not know where they are (night) and they are all around you so you could be shot from any side.
