Every home has barbed wire, or electric fences to keep theievs out. EVERY home. Thieves roam the streets snatching purses, bags, hats, etc. The police do nothing, the government does nothing, and hte people live a life of having to plan for crime. I still loved my trip and the country, but he is right.

I have been in Machupichu and is an amazing place. The empire it was part of (Inca Empire) and the history is amazing. Too bad the europeans went to Peru and divided their Inca Empire to form separate small nations. Whoever knows Machupichu knows the stone work and architecture technique so advance for the ppl of its time. Too much to write about such empire, I can't explain it here, its amazing.
