there somthing back there that you left behind.how true is that today.can i go back to tell someone i love them, thats no longer here.we all left somthing back there that we want.
Talk about slipping back to a time where psychological uncertainty was my flavor of the day...and the emotional surrealism that went along with it was the safest place to be...
Thank you so much for the upload..."Time Passages" and "Year of the cat"...love those albums and i saw Al Stewart live 3 years ago. His voice was still the same...fantastic!!!
Yeah it is his best song and Year of the Cat is next. Other songs can be good but don't approach this genius. His voice lyrics and melodies all come together is a wonderfully fresh way on those too songs. It's hard to repeat genius even once and Al did it. Well maybe I just heard his greatest hits so it sounds like maybe his second record was better than I thought.

You can't help but relate to his lyrics..how he articulates his thoughts when he reflects on the past.
"Well it's just now and then my line gets cast into these time passages"
Awesome story telling.
Thank you for uploading this.

Al Stewart is a great musician and this is simply my favorite by him! Year of the Cat isn't a bad song, but this one takes the cake! =)

Refuse to waste time with rhetoric about it being one of the all-time songs. It's memorable, a good song and his best without a doubt.

True greatness. One of the most perfect songs ever made. Poetry--with music.

May be one of the most balanced songs in history, driving bass, smoothe vocals, perfect horns and really clean guitar

A great 2nd album. He'd matured and had something to say after 'Year of the Cat'
