thank-you for the great tutorials i have learned a lot from watching your videos i have just started my dj biz and watchin you and your friend brian has helped me more than u will ever know thanks again!!
I highly doubt you are the biggest online dj community. I mean, what maybe 10,000 people at the most? There are plenty of forums much bigger then that devoted to this kind of stuff.
Yea I really can't believe how much the whole community has evolved. I started watching your videos over a year ago and that's how I got into djing. I've faded on and off with it over the past year becuase of schoolwork and all that but its great to come back and watch your videos from time to time and see that you are still about helping people and spreading knowledge which is the same as when I started watching a year ago. Good job man, keep it up.
as a retired dj of 37(!!) i am looking to get back into it, and hope to find some info on here... your philosophy kicks... long may it continue, now please point me in the right direction to get started :)
If no one shared info with new DJs they wouldn´t progress and we wouldn´t have new great DJs. on the other hand if we do help them, by the time they are older they will have the skills needed to become great DJs.
I think that if it wasn´t for Johnathan I wouldn´t have bought my mixer and I would still use PC programs program my mixes.
I´m excited that I will get my CDJs in a week. finally I will be able to mix like I dreamed of.oh and by the way I am one of those new DJs.
Basically Jonathan put a whole load of ideas i had in my mind straight.... concepts of bars, eqing and levels that id almost grasped... but he confirmed for free with no personal gain. Respect... and check out my channel ;)
awesome dude, thats what I am telling anyone when they don't want to come out with something. I even was with a guy once who didn't want to share his music collection because he "found that songs on his own". That just doesn't bring anyone of us both further, we will stay at the point where we are and not develop.
We are but the wind driving the ripples, across the top of the water, I will say this as I have seen this one tree grow, Once their was only one, then their was a few, then 100 now I find peace in a forest. Many blessing and thanks J. "your one big pebble" lol! Told u so!
Bad Boy Bill is an awesome dj that combines both elements nicely. His style got me real inspired to spin because he was able to mesh both styles of djing.
If more ppl follow this motto music will improve and become even more diverse, in a positive way. Same with sharing different styles of music. So dont send away someone who wants to mix callypso with electro or minimal. If you help him u can maybe creaty a whole new kind of music. Practise & nJoy :)
I carnt beleave how big this youtube dj thing has become. I started watching you guys over a year ago and strted myself as you know and this thing has just exploded, im glad i became a part of this over a year ago, so john, thanks 4 starting it all of, i think its the best thing on youtube love it and thanks again
Im wondering where this project may lead to ... in only 2 years this grew so much, what will be in about 5 years ? Or even 10 yrs ? Hope J will never stop it, but he wont :) Once u fell in love with music theres no return. I hope I can once meet this nspirin guy and drink some becks haha :)
nobody likes the records that I play... therefore nobody comes to ask anything from me :P heh. To be serious I love to share what I know and I love to help others.
Information is always meant to be shared because no one "owns" any technique or skill. If everyone was selfish and unwilling to share information, we would all be frustrated and DJing wouldn't be as much fun as learning together!
The best type of knowledge is experience. To share those experiences is a gift in itself. Your philosophy can be applied to other types of experience not just DJ. Thank you for sharing.
You know, thinking about your first videos takes me back. One of these days, when you have time it would be WAY cool to see you throw down another Technics/dodgy mixer/4 of your choice 12" video tutorials just for old times sake
worded perfectly j. why shouldnt people share there knowledge ?? where would we be if nobody helped anybody else ?? thanks to your help and you sharing what you know aswell as brian and many others i have played in a club, and im playing at a festival. i couldnt be more gratefull
yeah J, what ever happened to using the action figures in videos? haha

is there a device or effect
that can defeat vocals?
like taking away the vocals from a song?
making just an instrumental out of any song
just wondering how to do it
