Addressed to you all: The Robinson R22 is the industry standard for training helicopters. For a damn reason. It is one of the most sensitive and difficult to fly, yet extremely well designed and capable light helicopters out there. Robinson put 10 years into the design of this aircraft, and any GOOD pilot will swear by it. As far as his takeoff, no he did not get low, that was normal procedure. Any heli expert will agree, the best pilots learned in R22's.
