Never seen an ebrake malfunction by itself cause that, not that it couldn't be, just pretty curious. If it did, I'd say someone was trusting an ebrake. That's a no no!

I did something stupid like that last summer - I was not in the Jeep and my son was in back seat. Thank God there was a Jeep 5 ft behind me to hit and we escaped with no injuries and minor body damage.
