  • @No1PaigntonFan1994 Who knows when I shall return, hopefully soon.. :-)

  • @Bevoin1970 When was the last time you went to Paignton? Last year in December or have you been there since?

  • @No1PaigntonFan1994 When I made this film is the last time I visited Paignton...

  • @Bevoin1970 Cool, Paignton is really beautiful, and Torquay is

  • Hi Paul, that was brilliant,i am back on track again i think i have sorted the problem out with watching these videos,do not know what i have done, but i sure works up to now..oh happy new year LOL..............John

  • @johnwood57 Doesn't matter what you have done John, so long as it works.. ha ha

Thanks for joining me, nice to hear from you once again..

  • Paignton train station Time : 3.03

  • @stebuts12 Was that you, the seagull..? LOL - I gave you a wave :-)

  • @stebuts12 Yey!!!! where abouts?

  • Cool video, glad to see that I am in it!!!!! Lol

  • @stebuts12 Hope you waved to me? LOL

  • I love this place! I wished i lived there, i go there every month!

  • @V2xGamers Nice one, wished I got the chance to visit more often... :-)

  • I spotted six illegally parked cars, looks like the place for me.

  • @overcastwithshowers and me too.. ha ha

  • I hate Paignton town centre.

I had a delivery there a couple of years ago. Sea view flats having Recticel insulation fitted to the roof. In the summer 1 stack took about 3 hours to unload thanks to tourist traffic and that bridge at the end of your video. 13 foot something. My trailer was 15' 2" :-(

It was a classic case of "On your way down to Plymouth just nip into Paignton"

Forgetting all of the above. Good video Paul :-)

  • @TruckingInTheUK I just love "Tales of the unexpected" LOl, yes I too know the sound of that familiar phrase, "while your there just pop in and..."

Thought it better I post it on here rather than bin if as waste footage, not the best in steady shots but worth a view I reckon. Thanks Ian :-)

  • Nice video Paul. I love Paignton, been there many times over the years. Good to see it again :) Will.

  • @1Z88 Thanks Will, sure glad you could join me. I too have been here several times over the years, and I was glad to see it all again... :-)

  • Very nice town..

    THX for share..

Always great to see the houses and sea side of England..

  • @aid2003 Thanks Andy :-)

  • Lovely little town Paul

it seems quiet but it is the winter,i think that the summer you dont cross the city at the same speed

the seafront was ok ,no wind ,thursday i have wait 6 hours for a ferry in Calais and we have stay 3 hours on the sea at Dover, the ferry cant accost because of the wind....i wasnt sick...haha

    have a good weekend

    thanks for the ride

    Pat

  • @7784Patrick I hate waiting around ferry terminals, so boring just hanging around. Im ok if I can go out on deck and look at the sea, only if Im indoors on a boat do I feel slightly sick. LOL

Glad you have good sea legs Patrick, take care out there... Paul

  • It's been a while since I had the chance to 'hitch a ride' along with you watching your travels on here.... nice to see your standards are still as high as ever - great clips as I've come to expect ;)

I find it one of the most entertaining and addictive channels on here, just sitting back and travelling around the UK...... keep them coming :)

    Pete

  • @hunterxf382 Wow!! comments don't come any better than this one. seriously!. I do all this mostly for the fun side of it, but I know there are people out there, who for whatever reason don't get around & see different towns and cities like I do, so by doing this, Im taking those people along too, but from the comforts of their own homes. I always aim for good quality film/camera positions etc. so to get your excellent feedback, makes me feel I've done a good job.

    Very much appreciated

    Paul :-)

  • @Bevoin1970 Credit where it's due Paul.... To be honest I find watching your travels more addictive than most of the rubbish on TV these days;) What you're doing is a modern approach to the sort of Michael Palin travelogues, but without the commentary! I'm glad you leave the soundtrack alone, it's better to have a sneak at what you've been listening to than if you had dubbed in some backing soundtrack....

    Pete

  • @hunterxf382 Mega thanks, I so love this comment.. :-) My head is to big now.. ha ha

  • Great video as always. Certainly better there than its has been in the Midlands the last few days.

    Keep them coming.

  • @geezah22 You keep watching and I'll keep them coming.. ha ha - Many thanks for your comments and support, its all very much appreciated...Paul :-)

  • Doesn't it look quiet this time of the year Paul...lovely place and expertly captured for our pleasure as always....Bob

  • @robmasterman Many thanks as always Mr Bob, Paignton is a nice seaside kind of town, I was pleasantly surprised myself by how many people seemed to be milling around, I half expected it to be totally dead there, due to the holiday season being over by now.

    Thanks Bob. :-)

  • How does the yellow lamps work at the zebra crossing at 0:52? Are they always flashing like that?

At 3:00 you crossed a railroad, is that for diesel and steamtrains only? I could not see any power line!

    Thanks for the ride:)

  • @Jobergg Yes they flash constantly, they are called "Belisha Beacons" and warn motorists that they are approaching a Zebra crossing. That line is not electrified, and Im sure only diesel powered passenger trains use it but I could be wrong on that one.

Thanks Jobergg, have a good weekend. :-)

  • Fabulous videos as always!!! Keep them coming dear friend. I am in the UK till 6th Jan 2012 and have been adding dashcam vids and handcam footage too.... Great fun isn't it... Take care dear friend... Not sure if I asked you before, are you on Facebook? All the best... Mike & Pammie

  • @MikePColeStudioPro Mega thanks to both Mike & Pammie - Yes must admit I do get into it, making films that is. Keeps me occupied later on when it comes to the editing part.

I also enjoy showing others places they may not have ever seen before, its good to get around. Thanks for great comments...Paul :-)

  • Paul thanks for another great ride of where you go I lets us folks on the other side of the pond see what it is like where you live

  • @canvids1 This is just one seaside town of many in the Uk Wayne, all with their own identities and peculiarities. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, always appreciated....Paul :-)

  • Thanks Paul...those roads were terrible...........Mike

  • @modemeyes I know I felt every bump..lol - Thanks Mike :-)

  • Really nice Paul another great ride. Tke it easy my friend.

    Harry

  • @SuperSherriff1 Thanks Harry I try my best to stay out of trouble. thanks for watching. :-)

  • WTF BRITNEY COMON WISE UP LOL

  • @1irishmick Thats Radio 2 for you... ha ha

  • Dodgy road surface as you pulled away from lights...at 1.30 the red people carrier did a Reginald...in fact, lots of rough road surfaces in Paignton which has grown since I was last down there.

  • @silverstartrucker One of my Pet hates is bad roads, drives me nuts, al that shaking and rattling, no good for the camera mount. The only thing I noticed since I was last down there, were those raised portions they have on/across roads these days, where if you don't notice them, you end up flying up in the air, like massive speed humps, something else that I hate. Im on my soap box again...:-) Thanks Arthur

  • thanks for the enjoyable ride :-)

  • @pwalpar Any time Walter :-)

  • Thanks for the ride. Funny you have these lines in front of the lights, there are some curves:) But what country is custom, with us are double or continuous. Have a nice evening Slawek:)

  • @bibula83 At the start of the film the double yellow lines you see in the gutter /kerb area on the left, are for NO Parking! you see them everywhere in towns in england. You get fined if caught parking on them. We have wardens that check for illegal parking.

We also get double white lines in the centre of the road in dangerous areas, meaning NO overtaking, otherwise I think just your usual normal dotted lines.

    Thanks bibula. :-)

  • Great job Paul,

Your van looks really nice :) Maybe you can say how much did you earn in a month? I know that is really personal question, but if you dont want to answer you can :) I dont know, it just curious :)

    Have a nice day.

    Liudvikas :)

  • @VolvoFHV8 Thanks Lludvikas, but thats classified and sensitive information, no way can I answer that Q... :-)

  • Thanks for going out of your way Paul to film the area, what a fantastic place, I bet its a great place to stay for holidays. Great video, thanks for the ride. Paul :-))

  • @007vauxhall I only wished I could have stopped, parked up and shown you more of it, especially the beach and sea. Yes had many great times down here in this area, like I say you have both Torquay and Brixham to visit too, either side of Paignton, and not far away.

Definitely a place to see. Thanks Paul :-)

Paul

    Danke Jurgen

  • Would you say being a delivery driver is a good job? Do you enjoy it? :)

  • @Corfate Yeah its ok, you get stressed out with traffic at times, your racing against the clock at other times, people give you rollickings for being late, even though its not your fault..ha ha, its a game called blame the driver... but you do get to see many parts of the country you wouldn't have seen otherwise, so overall I enjoy it. I do miss working with other people though, micky taking etc, its a lonely job being a driver. :-)

  • @Bevoin1970 TIS THE WAY THE BALL ROLLS PAUL I WORK IN A WHAREHOUSE FULL OF PEOPLE BUT BEING THE BOSS im too busy for anything except work lol

  • THX for a ride Paul,

It was great to see Paignton, quite a lovely town :)

    Have a nice week,

    Simas

  • @diliukas Yes Paignton and surrounding towns like Torquay and Brixham are lovely seaside places to visit in England.

Thanks for watching Simas, take care...Paul :-)

  • could be any town in ireland both look similar

  • @birdman404 Thats nice to know, I love small towns with individual shops like Paignton.

  • 1:55 "Minor injuries unit"?

  • @JKRPDM What the sewing shop? LOL :-)

  • @Bevoin1970 No, nothing wrong with the shop :) The sign, pointing left. I can't imagine what that means....maybe you as an englishman can ;)

  • @JKRPDM Well spotted by you, I never noticed that before..ha ha - It could well be one of those small medical walk-in centres for minor injuries and problems, quick-fix kind of injuries. You just go along, book yourself in and wait to be seen by a doctor or nurse with your ailment. Hopefully they can fix you up without needing hospital treatment, Im guessing all this, I don't know for sure... They seem common now in the UK

    Hope this helps :-)

  • Excellent video Paul thank you :)

  • @massmedia09 My pleasure, shame I didn't have more time to actually stop and park up, then I could have taken a walk around and onto the beach to view the sea.

    Next time eh? :-)

  • That place is "hoovered" Paul. Very tidy.

    Thanks for the runaround town.

    Nice one,

    Andy *****

  • @TransMuir65 I used to come here with my dads touring caravan when the kids were small, always loved it and always had a great time. My 1600 Cavalier used to struggle mind pulling the caravan up Telegraph hill, happy days.

I had a warm glow when I drove through the town centre, its barely changed one bit in all those years, just wished I'd got here some hours sooner, then I would have parked up and had a proper look round.

Thanks as always Andy... Take care :-)

  • Hehe ... i'm first ... great video boss :)

  • @bogdanwhitesnake You take first prize! :-) Thanks once again, you trophy is on its way...
