What the Imperial Guard MUST do is capture any and all advanced technologys and incorperate them into their technology. @FireStorm765 you haven't played the actual board game have you? bezerkers are only out of thier transposts when it's too late lol. oh and if 30 las guns all open up on ten bezerkers only two will die statistically. Not lookin good for the guard.
@Kravockian yes i have and according to army builder 10 bezerkers cost 210pts minimum, and for the same amount i can put 2 hardened veteran squads on the field with 2 plasma guns and a grenade launcher to each squad. calculate your statics on that.

Even though they may not draft the troops commisanars will kill them just because they don't like them sometimes though they will kill the lowest health ones so the IG r about probally equal to blood ravens or dark eldar

i think the proper relationship here is Imperium > Tau empire but yes, the tech would be debateable. personally i dont think the relationship is one of better or stronger technology, because they are simply diffrent in nature. its like apples and oranges. u cant really compare them. tau tech is very much based on pulsar beams and deflector shields, (kinda the sci fi alien tech)...
Do you honestly believe that? Fire Warriors have more advanced rifles than the Space Marines. Battlesuits can easily destroy Dreadnoughts. Tiger Shark Fighters can destroy Titans.
The Tau have more advanced and efficient equipment for their workers. They use AI drones for dangerous industrial work. They actually KNOW how their technology works, and always advance it.
The Tau have already heavily outpaced the Imperium in technology, even though humanity has had a 36,000 year head start.
maybe but the tau didnt have so many enemies fighting them the entire time, nor did they have to constantly deal rebels, traitors and the like. the tau didnt have any idea how unfriendly the galaxy really was until the damocles crusade. the point being, its easy to advance your technology your left alone for the most part. but keep this in mind, the older technology thats been used by the imperium still rivals that of everyone else and those are ancient designs, think on that.
Not to mention that the technological prowess of the Imperium at the current date is only a shadow of the technology used during the Dark Age of Technology. If the Imperium could recover all of the lost technology it would be even more powerful than it already is. Even if Tau tech becomes more advanced, the Tau will always be relegated as a "regional" galactic power rather than a superpower like the Imperium since they can't access the Warp.
That is why the Tau and the Imperium and the Eldar should be natural allies. Tau technology, Imperium warp travel, Eldar webway gates. They could destroy all the forces of Disorder if they'd only work together.
your right tech isnt everything, and the one of the tau commanders specifically dawnblade learned that, and he and his fire warriors hire them selves out as mercs to who ever pays them the most. and since that goes against the greater good the normal tau dont like him.

Well the first DoW 2 trailer certainly has a force commander who looks a lot like him. Not to mention a daemonhammer which Gabriel got in DoW.

i think the proper relationship here is Imperium > Tau empire but yes, the tech would be debateable. personally i dont think the relationship is one of better or stronger technology, because they are simply diffrent in nature. its like apples and oranges. u cant really compare them. tau tech is very much based on pulsar beams and deflector shields, (kinda the sci fi alien tech)...

Do you honestly believe that? Fire Warriors have more advanced rifles than the Space Marines. Battlesuits can easily destroy Dreadnoughts. Tiger Shark Fighters can destroy Titans.
The Tau have more advanced and efficient equipment for their workers. They use AI drones for dangerous industrial work. They actually KNOW how their technology works, and always advance it.
The Tau have already heavily outpaced the Imperium in technology, even though humanity has had a 36,000 year head start.

maybe but the tau didnt have so many enemies fighting them the entire time, nor did they have to constantly deal rebels, traitors and the like. the tau didnt have any idea how unfriendly the galaxy really was until the damocles crusade. the point being, its easy to advance your technology your left alone for the most part. but keep this in mind, the older technology thats been used by the imperium still rivals that of everyone else and those are ancient designs, think on that.

Not to mention that the technological prowess of the Imperium at the current date is only a shadow of the technology used during the Dark Age of Technology. If the Imperium could recover all of the lost technology it would be even more powerful than it already is. Even if Tau tech becomes more advanced, the Tau will always be relegated as a "regional" galactic power rather than a superpower like the Imperium since they can't access the Warp.

That is why the Tau and the Imperium and the Eldar should be natural allies. Tau technology, Imperium warp travel, Eldar webway gates. They could destroy all the forces of Disorder if they'd only work together.

your right tech isnt everything, and the one of the tau commanders specifically dawnblade learned that, and he and his fire warriors hire them selves out as mercs to who ever pays them the most. and since that goes against the greater good the normal tau dont like him.
