  • Thanks for the tutorials Eric,

I am new to using Motion..... have used FCP since ver. 1.25 back in 2000.

I am trying to understand keyframing a little better with regards to cameras.

I have a panal of 9 rectangle shapes that I'm just wanting to have one of them do a nice smooth sweep forward.... while the shapes behind blur our. I recorded a segment.... and it was real jerky... How do you create the movements...

  • (like moving the one shape to center, and then zooming out almost full screen) and record them, keeping the nice smooth movements (Simultaneous movements for both...) ?

  • A little bit of your work and dedication is present in Brazil's television ;-)

  • I paid good money for tutorials but you rock Cowboy!

  • Thank you for your tutorials, Im on Motion 4 and everything I do I learned from you. Thank you for all you time.

  • @raymoralesjr same here, most of the stuff i learn on motion is right here on this dude's channel :)

  • Thank you for your tutorials Im on Motion 4 and everything I do I learned from you. Thank you for all you time.

  • How do you know all this stuff?? LOL! Apple needs to hire you! LOL! Awesome video man!

  • How about starting from scratch????

    Where do I begin?

  • Great tutorial, thanks so much =)

  • my snap function not working help please! [it turns on and off but nothing happens in the time line]

  • Is it possible to create a DVD menu in Motion 4 then burn it on Blu Ray?

  • @Deanboy82 yes, but you will need a blue ray external burner, or you can save it into your hardrive.

  • @djmisteralexxx Cheers, So I could make a couple of projects in Final Cut Pro then link them to a DVD/Blu Ray menu in Motion 4 and burn the project on an external Blu Ray drive? That'd be great if that would work :)

  • Thanks soo much for making these videos! I just go Motion 4 and I can't wait to try it out... You make it easy even for a newbie (like me) to understand how Motion 4 works!! :) Please make more videos, they are really great! XD

  • FUCK!!!!... I love motion... but it's a lottle expensive for me -.-

  • Thanks a lot! so thoughtful of you...helped me a lot :)

  • what if you have a camera being keyframed before you apply the framing behavior? won't it snap back to it's original position after the framing behavior is finished? how would you get around this?

  • i have used some basic animation prgrms and was wondering is motion to advanced for me? if it is do you have any suggestions for another product?

    great vid

  • This guy is fantastic really helpful stuff and a great accent too!

  • Apple Shake Guru, is this a Mac Pro u using?

  • As usual good tutorial by the Guru, and good catch with the maple leaf...urrrrr....canabis.

  • it really is a maple leaf. there's a tree called a Japanese Maple, and the leaves do resemble that of marijuana. I was at a plant nursery one day and noticed it.

  • He man we are from brazil we just totally love your videos they are great and this southern twang is so nice as well....

  • I dont have any problems with FCP, but I work on an Avid DS, and I'll tell you...as far as editing and compositing, there is no better...and it gets it done in a timely matter for tight deadlines, especially if there is a client sitting with you....

  • Macs are really THE means to do video and animation. I know of someone who does video on a PC and they ALWAYS have trouble with a driver, sound or some other problem, and I can't count how many times a day it crashes! I can't wait to get my next Mac. I'm gonna have some fun with Motion!

  • lazy fucker?

  • when u export it will the text still be blurred?

  • when you preview something in draft quality, it just frees up some processing power so you can preview it smoother. the export will be fine. previewing something in draft quality can help you get things done quicker too since you can almost preview it on the fly. hope that helps.

  • No thats why you save it in HD format

  • lol that maple leaf is no maple leaf!

  • i think its actually a japanese maple leaf, i'm not kidding

  • yeah a young japanese maple tree leaf very closely resembles that of marijuana. i saw one at a nursery once and was like "what the heck." you should check out the purple japanese maples. they're really nice to have around and add a nice color to the yard. they're just a tad bit pricey though.

  • i bet! :)

  • not to mention i have a powerbook, and it's a little dated now, but still runs better than a PC :P

  • its .02 for each view and .15 for each click when somebody clicks on the advertisements

  • cool

  • U are the man! Thanks

  • Phenomenal eric.

  • I like this addition to Motion. I think this could really help out when doing a project. Good tutorial! 5 stars.

  • omg vey nice never knew motion could do this.. thanks......

  • Yh i wanna know tht man hell be rich being a freelancer

  • I don't think he does freelance anymore. I think he moved to a company.

  • how much cash do u make a month with partnership ??

  • Google it, but I think its something like $2.50 per 1,000 views, I might be wrong though...
