The main problem I had with Arkham Asylum was the hard difficulty. Sure it gets pretty easy when you learn to counter right, but the bomb gargoyles, gun toting baddies, and the fight with Poison Ivy is fucking unforgivable. I felt more fucking accomplishment in getting to the checkpoint in the fight with Poison Ivy then I did in beating the 3 MW games and Halo Reach (alone) on the hardest difficulty

Most popular games of late: World of Warcraft, Starcraft II, Elder Scrolls, Call of Duty; non of these have any realism....

I'm not saying the game sucked, I'm saying it could be way better if it escaped the same old script. Yeah, yeah, Joker nearly destroys the city, Batman beats him and saves the day, ships him back to Arkham and Joker has already a hole dug for him to escape and repeat. The idea of playing as darker hero or a villain is what people like nowadays. That's why Kratos and Alex Mercer were great. Why not make a game for Joker, Catwoman, Red Hood and more? It could be like AC Brotherhood multiplayer!
Games like Knights of The Old Republic, InFamous, Spider Man Web Of Shadows are awesome because of a single, simple feature: Choice. You can choose to follow the expected plotline or do it your way, though, like Croshaw says in Bioshock review, it could be less White and Black. But the whole point is, if you always make games that are solely based on being the good guy for always and for ever, they will run out of ideas and plots. That is why Epic Mickey was so pathetic.
I was really hoping he'd shred this game more.... So sick of hearing how "great" it is, with batmans Goliathian grey mound of a body (fanboy much...) which looks like it has all the stealth capabilities of a mammoths tusk, and all the combat complexity of a screwdriver that came with instructions.

If I cared about comics, I would have one in my hand, not a joystick, hoping to throw my fist on Joker's face till it gets sticky with blood. Comics are for idiots who want to see idealistic messages of hopes and dreams for mankind. Games are for those who enjoy a degree of realism and logic with along action, something Batman doesn't possess, otherwise we would be allowed to wring Victor Zsasz's neck till his head fell off, or stick an explosive on Croc's mouth and watch his head go boom.

The point behind Batman was he believed if he was to kill he would become as bad as the villains he fought. Although this is a game, you don't know how much hatred they would get for getting Batman to go on a murderous rampage. Also what games are realistic? Most popular games of late: World of Warcraft, Starcraft II, Elder Scrolls, Call of Duty; non of these have any realism....

The not killing is the only real moral lesson of Batman, when compared with Superman claiming US greatest country blah blah blah, he really isnt very preachy. You surely haven't watched Under The Red Hood yet, have you? Every issue on Batman storyline, every tragedy would have been avoided if Batman did what was truly necessary to stop evil. I'm not saying the game sucked, I'm saying it could be way better if it escaped the same old script. Yeah, yeah, Joker nearly destroys the city, Batman beats him and saves the day, ships him back to Arkham and Joker has already a hole dug for him to escape and repeat. The idea of playing as darker hero or a villain is what people like nowadays. That's why Kratos and Alex Mercer were great. Why not make a game for Joker, Catwoman, Red Hood and more? It could be like AC Brotherhood multiplayer!

Games like Knights of The Old Republic, InFamous, Spider Man Web Of Shadows are awesome because of a single, simple feature: Choice. You can choose to follow the expected plotline or do it your way, though, like Croshaw says in Bioshock review, it could be less White and Black. But the whole point is, if you always make games that are solely based on being the good guy for always and for ever, they will run out of ideas and plots. That is why Epic Mickey was so pathetic.

I was really hoping he'd shred this game more.... So sick of hearing how "great" it is, with batmans Goliathian grey mound of a body (fanboy much...) which looks like it has all the stealth capabilities of a mammoths tusk, and all the combat complexity of a screwdriver that came with instructions.
It isnt so much of a game, as it is a massive batman porno for all the 30 year old fanboys to relive the shiny bits of their otherwise abuse riddled childhood.
