Under healthcare reform no-one would be forced to accept public option (government healthcare). It would be your choice if you wanted it. If it proves to be lousy compared to what private insurers offer, presumably no-one will want it. If the free market always does a great job, private insurers have nothing to worry about.

Conservatism is alive and well, it's just been hijacked by the GOP. They use conservative rhetoric to get elected but too often the GOP is just Democrat-Lite. I used to vote for 3rd Party candidates and it's time to return to that practice on pure principle alone. Without them the uninsured would get the care of a physician at a fraction of the cost of what they do now: go to the emergency room at the local hospital. We would not want that! I know I'm certainly grateful that 30 cents of every dollar of my health care costs go to the insurance companies to pay their CEOs millions!

Well if you don't like "government healthcare" why don't your folks pay for private insurance? Like I do. I am insured through my employer, but I pay over $12K a year to insure my family. You think I'm in love with that system? And trust me, if you're dealing with insurance companies you're dealing with "crap."

sorry Kiddo, the government already RUNS, as in provides the FUNDING for 45% of al ol our healthcare as it is. AND Medicare actually has much lower overhead than ANY private insurer. So spare me the whole "privatization" is better BS. The only thing private about our healthcare is PROFIT. The goal of corporations is to have as many "customers" as possible. The way the healthcare industy retains customers is to keep people sick. And they do that very well. Everything else, they suck at.
