Chavez? Seriously? No man should have so much power, specially when he gained power by boycotting his opponents. Vidal's views may be accurate for local matters although they are way too pessimists. Internationally, he does not seem to have much sense. My question is, does he really understand Plato and Aristotle, Locke?

I think he's very intelligent but tends to misuse references to some of the great thinkers of history. He takes a quote to justify his argument without giving context to what the speaker meant.

WHAT A BAD (and I mean really awful) interviewer. I mean look at her eyes, she looks like a fanatic! And those questions she asks...are so stupid (just hearing and looking at her, makes me feel that she is one of those type of characters who are passive aggressive in life). And it looks...like even poor old Gore Vidal is feeling it.

I think Amy did a Good job, she is always trying to inform her audience, which unfortunately has been mutilated by the American Education Dis-Establishment. If Amy asks simple questions, it is because she knows that most of her listeners and viewers are unaware and clueless. This is a the shame of America and our post 1960's educational system.

but this condones and promotes the behavior of lazy people. instead of taking initiative to learn something they expect someone to fill them in through simple watered down questions, instead of asking intellectual questions and expecting viewers to fill in their lack of knowledge in order to understand it.

i'm not sure if it's that or that he speaks slowly, and that's not an insult. to be on the news it seems you have to be shouting and jumping from subject to subject like lightning.

He didn't seem to be feeling very well that day. Amy did fine with a cantankerous interviewee. I love him and have seen his other YouTubes. I don't hold his overwhelming pessimism, though I agree Americans are certainly a slow witted lot.

I disagree, he is a very very easy man to interview, but you need to have an intellectual, intelligent interviewer with a clear understanding of history, geopolitics and psychology at the very least. Amy Goodman is clearly not up to the job.
