i remember having this demo, the amiga was a special computer, they should get together and form a come back, i bet they would sell like hot cakes, there machines would be much better than what we got today easily
I wonder if the Amiga was the first 32bit consumer home computer ??I don't think IBMs went 32 bit until much later Atari St line might have had a 32 bit system out around the same time Amiga had theirs out..not sure the timing of the product intros
@xadam2dudex not quite, the acorn archimedes was technically the first ever 23 bit consumer computer released in about 87/88 but in all honesty the capabilities were about the same as the A500 with 1 meg ram as standard
Isn't it weird how i have been looking for this demo for a number of years trying all sorts of names trying to remember what it was called and then just by chance without even looking for it i stumble across today :)

@xadam2dudex The 32-bit Amiga 3000 was released in 1990. It could address up to 4 Gigabytes of 32-bit ram.

Where can you get this demo? I imagine that it is free-ware, so there should be no legal issues in downloading it?

I want colour cycling on my pc, but without the Amiga's Blitter chip It'll never happen!

@kryckeestrooff
Color cycling has been possible on PC since the VGA adapter came into scene.

At 2:20 it looks like an effect from a different demo.
"Real" from Complex, perhaps?
qopha 1 year ago
@qopha
No, the effect is not from a different demo. I have the original disk and I play it on my A1200 time ago.
bouledogue 1 year ago
@qopha
no, just because Real came out one year later ;)
btw I don't hear similarities, so not even Complex did the opposite

@jimbotron70
I see now that the musician is the same (memory fails)..
btw I keep on thinking that stylistically sound different, even if they share the same mellow, soft sounds

I used to play this constantly at my Amiga user group meetings. Still blows me away! always thought it was a terrific demo.
Thanks for the memories
