i think that is prob what makes me not believe the bible b/c it never changes. it could be way off and no one ever fixes it b/c u can't fix something that is interpreted diff by everyone. that is what makes some religions so successful but with theories like evolution, at least you know that when they revise certain parts, find new details and evidence, that it's getting closer.

hey man....i'm going to say a couple things that could be used to "disprove" god. 1) prove to me that these "miracles" actually happened. 2) if you trace the history of the bible, it was written a long time after Jeasus. With time comes the alteration of stories and memory. so the bible may not have actually happened. finally, if the bible is so important, then y are there so many discrepencies in translations? along with that where did the middle of jeasus's life go? they are not in the bible?

1) can I prove that miracles actually happened? All I can say is that we have the testimony of the witnesses account written in the bible. 2) the history of the bible, it was written a long time after Jesus. The new testament was written after Jesus life, but the old testament which prophesied his coming was written long before he was born. Have the scriptures changed in all those years? No! the evidence is the dead sea scrolls.

Actually, Catholicism is one of the leading denominations to accept or at least consider General Theory of Evolution, & if believing organisms with at least 600,000 DNA "letters", 500 genes(Mycoplasm Genitilum is the "simplest" & has 580,000 "letters" & 482 genes but is a parasite so this doesn't seem enough), having the protein, DNA, & RNA synthase to reproduce the genetic coding while having the energy & decoding mechanism needed to reproduce was designed is "lazy", who is "worthy" of chance?

Well I think that comes from another Survival Instinct. If you can control the masses what elsedo you need to survive. like i said before. Humans are a bit selfish and aren't always looking for survival of the species since we are at the top of the foodchain. As a saying goes in my old country. A quick question, if someone would like to offer an explanation.
If evolution between the species is feasible and what happened, then why isn't it still happening today? Why are all the animal groups so clearly defined, instead of having monkeys, and humans, then half-monkeys, and every step along the way?
Even if it was taking place over millions and millions of years, there would still be all sorts of in between creatures. Evolution wouldn't pause for a while just to allow humans and monkeys to become clearly defined for instance, like we find today. Instead, no matter how long the process took, it would have been going on all this time and there would still be all sorts of in between animals all over the place.
That could be possible, but by the same token, it shouldn't just be one or two creatures that are in the in between stages of evolution. Meaning, it should be happening in large enough groups to be noticeable, especially considering it would be happening with almost every species on the planet. Monkeys to humans, lizards to birds and all that. And it should be happening in the habitats common to those creatures, so I think if it were happening it would be noticeable.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Evolution takes hundreds of millions of years. And evolution is still happening, many animals have become immune to certain viruses or things. Evolution doesn't happen quickly.
Those "many animals" that have become immune became immune either by the system or enzyme needed to become immune was already in ones system & by natural selection did the organisms that did not have them died off so the ones with the immunity reproduced or the organism stopped producing an enzyme needed to be targeted by viruses("slash-and-burn" strategy)
In either case, the organisms did not gain genetic information but either sacrificed some or some already had what was needed

So I'll simply restate my point that no matter how long evolution takes, because it would have been going on all this time, the world would still be full of in-between species. Not just inter-species improvements, but full of in-between species still actively engaged in the act of evolving from one species to the next. hey man....i'm going to say a couple things that could be used to "disprove" god. 1) prove to me that these "miracles" actually happened. 2) if you trace the history of the bible, it was written a long time after Jeasus. With time comes the alteration of stories and memory. so the bible may not have actually happened. finally, if the bible is so important, then y are there so many discrepencies in translations? along with that where did the middle of jeasus's life go? they are not in the bible?

1) can I prove that miracles actually happened? All I can say is that we have the testimony of the witnesses account written in the bible. 2) the history of the bible, it was written a long time after Jesus. The new testament was written after Jesus life, but the old testament which prophesied his coming was written long before he was born. Have the scriptures changed in all those years? No! the evidence is the dead sea scrolls.

If "survival" drives evolution, then we go to how does the process know what to pick to evolve with & how to do so? Why would evolutionary processes lead organisms to sacrifice for another or create brain functions to limit killing & sex(ie.most religions)
Even bacteria, without brains or nervous systems, kill themselves to save other bacteria when they are invaded by viruses

Well I think that comes from another Survival Instinct. If you can control the masses what elsedo you need to survive. like i said before. If evolution between the species is feasible and what happened, then why isn't it still happening today? Why are all the animal groups so clearly defined, instead of having monkeys, and humans, then half-monkeys, and every step along the way?

Even if it was taking place over millions and millions of years, there would still be all sorts of in between creatures. Evolution wouldn't pause for a while just to allow humans and monkeys to become clearly defined for instance, like we find today. Instead, no matter how long the process took, it would have been going on all this time and there would still be all sorts of in between animals all over the place.

That could be possible, but by the same token, it shouldn't just be one or two creatures that are in the in between stages of evolution. Meaning, it should be happening in large enough groups to be noticeable, especially considering it would be happening with almost every species on the planet. Monkeys to humans, lizards to birds and all that. And it should be happening in the habitats common to those creatures, so I think if it were happening it would be noticeable.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Evolution takes hundreds of millions of years. And evolution is still happening, many animals have become immune to certain viruses or things. Evolution doesn't happen quickly.

Those "many animals" that have become immune became immune either by the system or enzyme needed to become immune was already in ones system & by natural selection did the organisms that did not have them died off so the ones with the immunity reproduced or the organism stopped producing an enzyme needed to be targeted by viruses("slash-and-burn" strategy)
In either case, the organisms did not gain genetic information but either sacrificed some or some already had what was needed

So I'll simply restate my point that no matter how long evolution takes, because it would have been going on all this time, the world would still be full of in-between species. Not just inter-species improvements, but full of in-between species still actively engaged in the act of evolving from one species to the next. Monkeys would still be becoming humans, lizards still becoming birds, and so forth.

I've, literally, lost count of the number of "missing links" that have been discovered. Every time the smallest fossil is dug out of the ground, the scientific community starts yelling about how it's "the missing link!"
I want these scientists to make a map, showing every single step of evolution from a single cell to a modern human. They can't, however, because the "chain" of evolution is missing more links than it has. Their theory lacks evidence for corroboration.
