  • Best Top 10 "Nostalgia" Science Fiction Movies?

    Tron guy would be pissed!

    (Солярис лолз)

  • WTF mate! blade runner should be first :p

  • Where is Matrix?

  • On a universal scale I would have put Star Wars as #1. I would not have put Minority Report on any scale lol.

  • I'd say you're right about three of them

  • Great list, though Terminator 2, Aliens, and Planet of the Apes need to be on this list... then again, it is difficult to make a top 10 list with so many great movies. I also think that Star Wars should have been Number 1, but I guess that would've been too easy. 2001 is just as deserving.

  • I guessed nr. 1 even before clicking on the video :P

  • where is alien, predator and the thing three basic sci-fi classics

  • yau( the mist) is much better than all of these and there is also ET

WTF is all of this shit

  • Glad to see you got #1 & 2 right. Star Wars, to me, seems to belong in a different genre--more of a "space opera" than real sci fi. Movies like Robocop, Predator, Terminator, seem more like they are primarily in the Action genre, with a little sci fi thrown in. Sorry folks, the Matrix sucked. 2001 is the greatest movie ever made--profound and mind-blowing. Some people are just too used to shallow action flicks to appreciate it.

  • When i saw te way Alex J Murphy die, I was 5, It changed my life forever

  • penis at 1:04 O__O

  • Worse list . Are you dumb.

the matrix is the best science fiction movie ever

  • not adding terminator, brazil, 2001: a space odyssey, close encounters of the third kind, or planet of the apes should be a crime

  • @anonimatox123 Personally I think "The Day the Earth Stood Still" (original version) and "Starman" should be in the mix. I am also partial to "Enemy Mine" and "Soldier."

We all have different ideas about what is best, and perhaps that is the crime you are talking about.

  • OOps! Sorry.

  • 2001: a space odyssey? was number 1..

  • @wrynil nope... metropolis..

  • I would say that there are lots of the best films missing from this list. Where's The Last Starfighter? Were's 2001: a space odyssey? Where is The Thing (1982) And what about Them? Where's Planet of the apes? Where's Empire strikes back? Wheres Return of the Jedi? Where's the voyage home ? where's The Wrath of Khan? Where's District 9? Where's Tron (1982)? And, most importantly, where's Close Encounter's of the third kind?! Honestly, I don't think people should make top tens. So much to choose

  • @Scienceorc It's a top 10 list, not a top 20 list.

  • @ulaghchi I said it was a top ten

  • @Scienceorc Yet you mentioned 12 movies, and 2001 is on this list.

  • @ulaghchi I made an error. Please excuse me. And about the 12 movie thing, I made that list to prove that 10 just isn't enough, so it was intentional that I mentioned more than ten, because the point was that science fiction is such a great genre that you need more than a top ten to make a list of the finest science fiction.

  • needs more KHAAAAN!!!

  • Classics like Invasions of the Body Snatchers, The Invisible Man, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Forbidden Planet, The Thing, Metropolis, Frankenstein, and The Bide of Frankenstein should never be forgotten.

  • Dark city ftw!!!!

  • terminator, the matrix, alien, Inception, 12 monkeys. Those all are in my top five. Back to the future and star wars are good as well, and I'd certainly have to agree they are in the top 10. But that's just me.

  • good list !

  • Nice top 10!!

  • hej, can please someone help me find a movie..it's a really old one, but I don't know the names of the cast, the year of the movie or the tittle of it. I just know it was always on a german programme "kabel 1" and I used to watch it when I was little...it's about a girl (I remember she looked like geena davis, but I don't know if this was her), who cuts her hair very short like boys, and I remember a scene when she wants to throw a stone to a duck and the stone starts talking..sci fi movie

  • Where's Avatar?!?!?

  • @Maxthemetalkid Avatar?? :P

  • The Andromeda Strain (the original version)

    Fantastic Voyage

    Westworld

  • What??? And Alien??? And Avatar??? And Jurassic Park??? And Terminator? And Armageddon?!?!

  • @Lele24781 those arent scifi movies... alien is a horror movie, jp a fantasy movie and terminator an action movie. Armagaddeon a apocaliptic movie. SCIFI Genre is different from what you wrote!

  • @tinotrivino All of those are Science-fiction. There are a great amount of subgenres to sci-fi(i.e. Cyberpunk, Hard-Science, etc...), they just have different elements to drive their story and to keep their films fresh so that there isn't just copy-cats plaguing the film world.

  • @Noonxy20k maybe you are right!!!

  • avatar

  • alien

  • sunshine

  • SUNSHINE!...What the hell? Include sunshine!

  • @3Axy10Est13 it isnt scifi genre even if it has some scifi contents!

  • @tinotrivino how so

  • @3Axy10Est13 well its apocalyptic movie it contais scifi things because of its technology but it isnt a scifi movie :)

  • @tinotrivino whatever im not to technical about it. but i like sunshine the best and The Fifth Element.

  • Good list

  • 2001 was a British film was it not? right spot got that right though.

  • @starmaidens1 no it was american. but they definentaly put it in the right spot :)

  • all american crap, not 1 good film outa all that list, u lot have forgoten what GOOD movies are, fkin americans, you have ruined cinimar

  • @orilionn

Dude you have to admit the most successful movies are American, can't really argue on that point.

You said you forgotten what good movies are, I'd like to hear some examples.

And if I saw correctly in this video there is also a German movie among them.

  • what the heck was number 5? I dont understand the title????????????

  • this list is awesome, but where is Independence Day!

  • great list, I like your choices, however, MIA,: Contact, Forbidden Planet, Gattica, The Thing, The Day the Earth Stood Still,

I know, with so many outstanding films, it's hard to limit oneself.

  • great list, I like your choices, however, MIA,: Contact, Forbidden Planet, Gattica,

I know, with so many outstanding films, it's hard to limit oneself.

  • Dark City YEAH!!!!!!!!!

  • well done... just... Well Done

  • Where the fuck is DUNE, EVENT HORIZON, THE MATRIX and BLACK HOLE? Some crap from the Chaplin era?!

  • @pappabuljo Dude, Metropolis is a classic! You suck!

  • Where the fuck is DUNE?

  • Heeey Dude, Sorry but wtf is that? is that your top 10 SF?

where s Screamers, Alien, Predator, wtf your top 10 is gay

  • @Gix551 "Gay" being a good thing or a bad thing?

  • @Gix551 Screamers was not that great.

  • i dont know why people like 2001 it took me soooooooooooo many times to watch it to finally finish it. it was the most boring movie ever

  • @manoman10manoman i agree with you it was really slow pace movie.

  • @manoman10manoman Obviously your mind maturity is five-years-old when it comes to movies. 2001: A Space Odyssey is for big boys and girls

  • Where the frick is ALIEN???

  • The missing movie in the top 10 would be "Silent Running", starring Bruce Durn. The way the people (the "elected" government) are treating the planet, this movie is a preview of the future.

  • good choices one and all. Missing: Contact, Aliens, The Thing from Another World and The Day The World Stood Still. .

  • whats with the lame alien nation tune it fucking gets on my nerv...

  • Top 10 Worst* Science Fiction Movies.

    Well exept for Star Wars!

  • @SonsOfHateSphere starwars is shit!

  • @Cassecouille8 you are shit

  • @Silivossi if you want, but starwars more!!

  • this video is bullshit

  • Back to the Future is #1 movie of all time.

  • u must be in your 50s

  • that was a good choice, only aliens missing

  • WHAT??? Where's Super Mario bros!!!?

  • My top 5 science fiction movies (in no particular order):

    Moon

Star Wars Episode III : Revenge of the Sith

    Alien

    Aliens

    The Matrix

Thumbs up if it's good, Thumbs down if it's bad.

  • @wardy2294 It's all good apart from putting Revenge Of The Sith on it.

  • @gravygwundud Revenge of the Sith sucked balls

  • @wardy2294 I disagree on 'Revenge Of The Sith', because all the continuity is wrong in relation to the originals and the acting is very wooden.I have the same opinion about 'The Phantom Menace' and 'Attack Of The Clones' too.

Moon was quite good but I whouldn't put in the top ten, I found it quite boring and depressing.

And 'The Matrix' was VERY cheesey and Lawrence Fishburn's acting was quite wooden too.

But I COMPLETELY agree with you on `Alien' and `Aliens'!

  • Comment removed

  • what about logan's run? o,O I dont think anyone remembers that one, I mean after all if your willing to go back to 1927 with Lang. Lets not forget everything i between.

  • This....is shit

  • is there a trailer for the 5th one on youtube???????

  • is there a trailer for the 5th one on youtube???

  • Gattaca would be at my No. 9 but never the less this is good choice.

  • but rather centers in the fight of good vs evil, the coming of age, the easy vs the difficult, betrayal, all very deep and humane in nature but not science fiction.

  • in all literature and movies, Fantasy revolves always around man as a single entity and how he manages to overcome the difficulties he has to face, including ethical dilemmas, the finding of his maturity, the discovery of the traps of life etc. Science Fiction on the other hand focuses its background thinking on Man as a spieces and the future (with all problems and opportunities) that lies ahead based on the ever evolving technological wonders. Star Wars has nothing of that. (-continued)

  • I can't say much about the list, since "best" has a different definition to each of us, but I have one big objection: Star Wars isn't, by any means "science fiction". It's pure fantasy. It has lasers and starships alright but there is not much science in its fiction and furthermore, the plotting of the story and the course of action of the characters are purely fantasy. If you come to think about it, (-continued)

  • Where the hell is star trek 11 this was the best star trek movie

  • great choice for number 1!

  • This is quite the sad list. It's missing Forbidden Planet, The Day the Earth Stood Still (original), etc. Those two actually were serious science fiction movies with good budgets, awesome effects, and great storylines.

  • @kenanscott24 N* 5 Solaris is a russian movie

  • what's the 5th movie ?? I can't read the title !! -.-

  • #1 Blade Runner

#2 The Day the Earth Stood Still(Original)

    #3 Star Wars

    #4 Terminator

#5 Star Wars Empire Strikes Back

    #6 Terminator 2

    #7 12 Monkeys

    #8 2001 A Space Odyssey

    #9 Day of the Triffids

#10 Star Wars Return of the Jedi

  • terminator missing !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Horrible...but hey it's your top ten. No Alien or Star Trek? 12 Monkeys? No, you have RoboCop?? Haha, you must be kidding? Back to the Future? Blade Runner beats out Star Wars? And 2001 - the best sci-fi on your list? WHA?? I'm suprised you didn't add Battlefield Earth and TimeCop too!

  • Come on are you serious? Robocop? Back to the future?!? What about alien, Solaris (original Russian version), Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Matrix!!! Come on! How can you miss them out I agree with 2001: A Space Odyssey, one of the greatest films ever made and Blade Runner is also a great film

  • Where's TRON?

  • lol wth how was neither alien or predator in here? you got a horrible idea of sci fi

  • where is Revenge of the Sith!? I'm happy the original is there but where the heck is Episode III?

  • @luigimarioman1 I hope you are kidding...Episode III as a top ten contender for best of Sci-Fi? The Star Wars prequels were a disaster and I honestly hope George Lucas never makes another film in his life!

  • fifth element

  • @dsfasfasfasfasf the fifth elementh is the best!!!!!! ;)

  • @dsfasfasfasfasf the fifth element is the best!!!!!! ;)

  • Thank you, your top ten sci-fi movies is, really, The Top Ten. Great work.

  • no star trek wtf???

  • @buttheed

The newest one was the best, and it was BAD!

  • fantastic editing! what program did you use? i have been trying to make a video but my video software only lets me import mp3...

  • what song is this playing?

  • Serenity should be up here.

  • 1 star wars , 2 robocop, rest wtf?
