Jayrossi, I am glad you say that, 'cause Iam a bit concerned, moving there (maybe) soon! Do they have "stuff" for families? Is it kid friendly? I have a 2 & 3 yr old & love the outdoors!! Can you get a nice & new 2/2 Condo for $900,00 a/M.?? Can you live down town, or is that to dangerous? I see a lot of water! Can you lay out & go swimming there? Do the apartments & houses come with amenities??
@susannehutch Hi susanne. Yes, there are a lot of things to do and see and yes, it's family friendly. Prices range from $400/month to $3,000/month depending on where you settle. Yes, you can lay out on the beach/go swimming!
@susannehutch Cleveland is so huge that the suburbs of Cleveland are usually included in Cleveland (or Cuyahoga County) such as Berea, Brookpark (etc., westside) and University Circle (etc., eastside). There are (as with every city) some dangerous neigborhoods, but they're easy to spot when you're looking around.
Hi everyone! As I said, I wrote/recorded this in 1986. Since then (as all cities everywhere) there has been a lot of change - GOOD AND BAD - in Cleveland, but there has been far more good than bad. I've noticed that ALL of the negative comments come from those that have NOT been here for a while AND/OR have only seen the few small bad areas (which are everywhere). I have lived here all my life, and overall it's a great city with great people.
I lived in Cleveland all my life left 1998 and the best view of Cleveland was in the rear view mirror. It's a ghetto now from what I'm told. Cleveland is over with and the ghetto is moving east. Euclid is now a ghetto.
Downtown / University Circle / Ohio city / Tremont / Coventry / Detroit Shoreway and soon Asia Town have all undergone major renovation and are looking Very good. It's actually amazing how much development is currently being done with this economy and there is much much more to come with 2013 being the year for Many big projects to be done.
Cleveland has truly never looked this good before - only thing is the eastern part where the foreclosure hit the hardest but it's not that big of an area.
It's too bad Cleveland couldn't have protected its downtown lakefront from development like Chicago has. Imagine something like Chicago's Grant Park there and it would be a much better city.
Does the City of Cleveland have any plans to eventually reclaim large stretches of the downtown lakefront for public recreation?
OMG! I remember when everyone in North East Ohio were encouraged to call and get the rock hall built here. Cleveland's home of the Buzzard! I used to love WMMS in the 80's. Jeff and Flash in the morning. I loved Uncle Vic and Dancin' Danny on WGCL. News no one knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love cleveland, the best thing abot it is all the bad thing happen out of cleveland,IS NOT HAPPENING HERE XD
