I had a 77 Ironhead and a Tri T150. Both stripped down and hardtailed by me. The Tri had the top and bottom end redone. The Iron I didn't do anything to it. Loved both bikes, but preferred the Sporty. Was a beast and wicked fast. I wished I never sold my Sporty so I bought an 80 and stripped it down to bare essentials. Definitely not a tractor.
After riding for 38 years, British, Japanese, and German bikes, I believe that Ill never own an American bike. Harleys are tractors and many, if not most of their riders are now posers. The company is a big deal on Wall Street. Big Frikin Deal. They are not enthusiasts, they are suits, period! Long Live the Enthusiast!
I really enjoy riding my dad's "07 883L, except for the extremely limited rear suspension travel. Once I started telling myself that the bike was a hardtail I felt a lot better. Basically it's a hardtail that has cosmetic shocks, worst of both.
Hey RR, Yes I agree. The road impact is transmitted right up the spine! And with the pegs being forward, all your weight is on your butt. Of course the ergos might work for a shorter rider. JB
I think a lot of people buy them because they're cheaper than the other models and they want something to rip apart and customize that they don't have to spend 15k on
thought is was a very informing video,do you have one on the 09 sportster 1200 xlc?

How about making a Harley flathead manual, preferably 1941 U model? ;) I liked the one I had for my XS 650 far better than the Haynes .
I like your attitude towards motorcycles. I drive everything with 2 wheels and an engine.
Thanks for the videos. I appreciate them.

Honestly, I've never been much of an HD fan, but the Sportster is a nice looking piece of iron.
