The backlash is unjustified, out of control, and just plain childish. It's a video game. A children/pre-teen's interactive anime, and no one should be making a big deal about the story. All that should matter is gameplay, and the gameplay isn't even bad.

@pkstarstorm1up It's kind of a long story. First I get real passionate about Sonic 06 due to long and drawn out argument with a forum full of swine. And then I went through this period of time where I hated comedic things. And then I started to find a balance. I like Sonic Unleashed, for example. Sonic games are meant to be realistic, dramatic, emotional, romantic, and serious. They should not be cartoony, cutesy, goody-goody, or try to be excessively "funny". Sonic Colors gives me a headache.

Like a person who held 06 up to me would see something totally different then me. I just don't get it. I have no struggles with the controls in Sonic except colors and generations. The camera angles don't hinder me. I've spent hours looking for glitches in 06 and never found them. Is it me or everyone else!?

The gameplay for 06 is p'stale though. Sonic and Shadows homing attacks are hard to control. I even got stuck in glitches I didn't know were possible. Shadow dying at the chaos emerald hunt didn't help either /sobs.

@pkstarstorm1up Oh, yeah. The game play. Well, PS3/360 Sonic Unleashed's day stages were intelligently designed and blended platforming with speed pretty well by focusing more on speed. That's just the way this hedgehog engine is built for. Colors, inadition to its terrible story, has game play that is either so boring it puts you to sleep, or too hard for the wrong reasons (physics, uselss double jump, bad level design, etc.) that it makes me want to put my fist through a wall.

Erm, not flaming, but, I never understood why they had a love song at the end of this game. I didn't see any hint of romance at all between Sonic and Shahrah. I didn't think the ending implied it at all. I though it was more like you were supposed to go "aww, what a nice guy", but nothing more. Did I miss something!?

It's a furry franchise that's been set in the human world and taking itself seriously since the very first game. And it became a complete animein Sonic CD which was one of the most popular games. @pkstarstorm1up It's kind of a long story. First I get real passionate about Sonic 06 due to long and drawn out argument with a forum full of swine. And then I went through this period of time where I hated comedic things. And then I started to find a balance. I like Sonic Unleashed, for example. Sonic games are meant to be realistic, dramatic, emotional, romantic, and serious. They should not be cartoony, cutesy, goody-goody, or try to be excessively "funny". Sonic Colors gives me a headache.

Games like Assassin's Creed have such well-received stories because the characters are easy to identify with. And why? Because they don't do things like clench their fists al the time or give constant thumbs up. They don't frown all the time, or smile like maniacs. The romance scenes don't include five minutes of bright-eyed soul searching and hugging...

When they joke, it's funny because it's relevant to the situation, the characters' individual personalities come into play, and it doesn't sound like a bad knock-off of Nickelodeon. Though I have to say, reading that just brings me back to the point where Sonic is just a cartoon and isn't really meant to be taken seriously. As much as I love serious stories, I don't believe true blue was meant for that and its what got him his bad rep in the first place.

@xXPitsLittleAngelXx Most people thought it was his gameplay. But I didn't have any trouble with that, either. I'm beginning to think that I'm literally living in a different world. Like a person who held 06 up to me would see something totally different then me. I just don't get it. I have no struggles with the controls in Sonic except colors and generations. The camera angles don't hinder me. I've spent hours looking for glitches in 06 and never found them. Is it me or everyone else!?

The gameplay for 06 is p'stale though. Sonic and Shadows homing attacks are hard to control. I even got stuck in glitches I didn't know were possible. Shadow dying at the chaos emerald hunt didn't help either /sobs.
Though its kinda funny when you think of it. Look for something and you never find it, then you decide not to look for it and its suddenly in your face. It happens all the time :C

@pkstarstorm1up Oh, yeah. The game play. Well, PS3/360 Sonic Unleashed's day stages were intelligently designed and blended platforming with speed pretty well by focusing more on speed. That's just the way this hedgehog engine is built for. Colors, inadition to its terrible story, has game play that is either so boring it puts you to sleep, or too hard for the wrong reasons (physics, uselss double jump, bad level design, etc.) that it makes me want to put my fist through a wall.

I would ask you to teach me a little bit about how to play on the Wii, but I kinda took a hammer to the case and smashed the mother fucker disc up with my bear hands. This song is about the many different relationships between the characters. Sonic and Shahra's friendship, and Erazor and Shahra's past love. Sonic defeated Erazor for good, This is Erazor's apology to her for all the hurt he caused.

Erm, not flaming, but, I never understood why they had a love song at the end of this game. I didn't see any hint of romance at all between Sonic and Shahrah. I didn't think the ending implied it at all. I though it was more like you were supposed to go "aww, what a nice guy", but nothing more. Did I miss something!?

I know it was hinted at that they had some relationship way back, but this is way too sincere to be from Erazor's point of view (I mean, he killed her without remorse), and it can't be from Shahrah's because it's addressed to a girl. And it talks about "running away" and all that. It does sound like Sonic is talking, but, I still don't see why...

I love this song. It's very pretty, although, (And I'll be the first to admit it), I thought it was a bad ending to the game, as the relationship between Sharah and Sonic was built as a friendship most of the game only to turn romantic near the end, IMHO.

It wasn't? I don't see who else it could mean. I know that a couple of the Sonic characters made cameos in this game, but the game mainly involoved Sonic and Sharah (And Erazor). That and Sonc and Tails are both guys aren't they? Not that there's anything wrong with a pairing like that, but I didn't think it had ever been implied.
