  • weeeeelll Id go with Betty..... But Id be thinking of Wilma lol

  • This is crazy. Why are we talking about going to bed with Wilma Flintstone?

You're right. We're nuts. This is an insane conversation.

She'll never leave Fred and we know it.

  • Barney Rubble...pudgy little blond guy who hangs around all the time with his confident best friend.

Oh Barney, Fred's no good for you. But I'd show you a gay old time!

  • For the record, I prefer Betty. And Wilma will never leave Fred.

  • tssct, i prefer that Jessica Rabbit >:3

  • Why do i think this is what i'll be like on my 21st birthday?

  • "She'll never leave Fred and we know it!"

    lol

  • 0:24

He can't go strange, he already is. lol

  • Well I guess 7 people would prefer Betty

  • "She'll never leave Fred, and we know it!" X''D

  • How could Kryten eject a hologram?

  • It's funny because this sort of conversation is completely normal on the internet now.

  • I've watched Red Dwarf since i was a child, and i've just realised, how can you eject a hologram out of a cock pit?

  • @Matt2sugers Good point! Hmmm....

  • @Matt2sugers he launched the projection unit

  • @Matt2sugers And why would there even be an ejection unit in a SPACESHIP.

I mean, whats that gonna do to help

  • @mrpops123123 It'd help produce classic comedy is what!

  • @Matt2sugers Push the wrong button. Duh.

  • this rocks

    hehe =)

  • Makes me think of Alan Tudyk's three switches in Firefly.

The ones he flips whenever he's asked to make the ship do ANYTHING

  • lol at kryten :D at 1:30

  • lol at kryten :D

  • Always loved the "special" effects of Red Dwarf. Classic.

  • @vidman1976 1. window wipers reminds most people of driving lessons and when you take your test and the instructor asks you to start the car it would make you look retarded if you switched on the wipers instead 0_0 and if you think about it, it is like learning to drive a car but with ejection seats XD 2. not everyone would say right before everything they say or do 0_0 everyone uses different words and start sentences in different ways =) even though i'd say "ok" allot instead of "right"0_0

  • I have 2 question about that scene.

    1. Why would a starship have windshield wipers on it?

    2. Why do British people say "Right" before they say or do anything else?

It's still a funny show, I've seen every episode a few times.

  • @vidman1976

    1.Spacedust.

    2. They are British, its what they do.

  • @rifal004 Right, it's because we're all related to Brett from the Nostromo in Alien. Right.

  • @vidman1976 Shouldnt u be watching chuck norris or whatever it is u americans watch, leave the british shows 2 us

  • @vidman1976 er ahem ahem

  • @vidman1976 1. it's a comedy

    2. we don't

  • Betty > Wilma

  • @Curttehmurt

    Definately.

  • Wlma was indeed HOT, but Betty Rubble was hotter, nowadays Marge Simpson out HOTs the pair of them IMO.

  • Lol Rimmer looks like a member of Spectrum

  • I think am the only one here that likes the bit with Rimmer and Kryten the best,

"Name" "KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK" "I'll just put Kryten", and the dead pan double take of "In your own time".

  • American comedy just isn't funny to non-Americans, for instance they did a version of classic British 70s comedy Fawlty Towers, John Cleese is GOD, but the US version sucked.

  • @RichXbox360 - The Americans did a version of Fawlty Towers......Why!!!!!!!!!!!

can't they not get the hint there not as funny as us Brit's

  • @RichXbox360

I guess the AMERICAN TV show Flintstones wasn't funny was it??

(And "Sanford and Son" was funnier than Steptoe and Son too!)

  • @MiKikaIwaShizaru omg wrong

  • @RichXbox360

i nvr knew they did a us version of fawlty towers. how bad was it?

  • @WasLilChrisnowbigish I've actually never seen it, but from a documentary on UK Gold last year I've heard it's not a patch on the British version, no John Cleese for a start.

  • @WasLilChrisnowbigish I have a very vague recollection of that show. I know that Jane Wyman(ex mrs Reagan) starred and that the American version left out a minor character: Basil Fawlty....

  • @Rogli I did some digging and it turned out I remembered wrong. The remake was called Amanda's and it was in fact Bea Arthur who had the leading part.

  • That was like a conversation I'd have in a sleepover. Personally, - I think they couldn't be more unnatractive.

  • Backwards is one of the best episodes =)

  • saw that one yesterday

  • I always preferred Betty to Wilma

  • @thesteveus Yeah same here ^^

  • @thesteveus Me too, but I still would with Wilma.

  • "In your own time..."

Most patient Rimmer has ever been I think haha

  • "That's good, I thought I was going strange (totally serious)"

    BEST PART EVAR.

  • whenever i feel down, i watch red dwarf and it always cheers me up.

  • "Wilma Flintstone is the most desirable women ever"- I agree!! :D

  • God I miss this show!!!

  • Kryten makes me think of Max Headroom.

  • this is a classical....

  • @vascoa this is a classic

  • @rfnalex1

yes it is...... thank you for your input,,,

  • she never leave fred and we know it.. pml...... RD gave us so many one liners. Well written and casted i grew up with it ... and now my kids also watch it .. i seen this a 1000 times but still makes laugh.

  • Wilma nags too much. I'd pretend stangling her during sex but maybe she likes that. Its all about easy Betty & her hubby is a midget! What can he do if he finds out?

  • we nuts!!... she never leave fred and we know it X-D X-D X-D

  • Lol the Cat!

'I'd go with Betty, but I'd be thinkin' of Wilma!'

  • omg....

  • Don't we all...

  • How does Cat know about the Flintstones?

  • because they're watching it, fool

  • Thats how the people of his race learned to speak english according to the Red Dwarf Novel

  • Lister rebuilds the 'noid, but is unable to recapture his

former personality. Meanwhile, Holly, the increasingly erratic computer,

performs a head sex change operation on himself. He bases his new face

on Hilly, a female computer with whom he'd once fallen madly in love

  • TY I do not know why That was not on the copy I viewed from netflix. I'll check it again tonight. It pretty much explains everything. Then off to watch the rest of season 5....All Alone , more or less.LOL

  • Smoke me a Kipper, I'll be back for breakfast !

  • Smeg head. LOL we could do this all day.

  • What a guy!

  • Stoke me a Klipper, I'll be back for Christmas :P

  • Just as long as you abite to Space Corps Directive 34124

  • Well,

as normal as you can be if you've been born in a parallel universe and

your father's a woman and your mother's a man and you're eighteen years

old three days after your birth. Shortly afterward, Kryten, the service

mechanoid, who had left the ship after being rescued from his own crashed

vessel, the Nova 5, is found in pieces after his space bike crashed into

    an asteroid.

  • However, because the boys were conceived

in another universe, with different physical laws, they suffer from

highly accelerated growth rates and are both eighteen years old within

three days of being born. In order to save their lives, Lister returns

them to the universe of their origin, where they are reunited with their

father (a woman), and are able to lead comparatively normal lives.

  • Red Dwarf III The Saga Continues The Story So Far...

Three million years in the future, Dave Lister, the last human being

alive, discovers he is pregnant after a liaison with his female self in a

parallel universe. His pregnancy concludes with the successful delivery

of twin boys, Jim and Bexley.

  • I love the series but there really should have been an explanation between Season 2 and 3.I love how they added Kryton and female holly. I also get the alternate universe theory but, I was expecting lister to have twins LOL.

  • There waw a recap at the very start of Series 3 made in an homage to Star wars - ( text going into screen ) about what happened between series 2 and 3 - I'll post it on here in blocks.

  • She'll never leave Fred and we know it

  • thank god for itunes! ive just downloaded all of series 5 on my ipod touch for £10!

  • Alice Is Gay

  • The Flintstones bit is who can make wilmas bed rock LOL

  • lol thats amazing

  • favourite bit in all the first 4 series !!!

  • My UBER-ULTRA-MEGA-L.O.L.-RAVE-FAVE bit in all of Series III !!

    Thanx fer it, m8..

  • why does what rimmers wearing make me think thunderbirds, or maybe it's captain Scarlet!

  • captain scarlet deffo!! lmao

    rimmer rocks XD

  • Captain Scarlet you're thinking of. ;-) Although it does remind me of Thunderbirds as well. xD

  • I don't care, I just know he's HOT

  • "Well, I would go with Betty...but I'd be thinking of Wilma..."

  • the thing is when you think about it, for a lot of people if you ask them honesty. They do think Wilma Flintstone is sexy! though personally i was always more of a fan of Betty Rubble

  • one of my favorite episode

  • "Thats good, I thought I was going strange" xD

  • the funniest red dwarf moment is when rimmer puts them into quarintine then rimmer goes crazy : rimmer "is anything amidst" lister - "no nothin amidst" rimmer "i'm sitting here with a dress on and army boots. and u c nothin amidst" . kinda have to c it for it to be funny

  • anything amiss, not amidst

  • This scene has randomly popped into my head so many times over the years and it always makes me laugh. It has been responsible for me getting surprised looks from people on the subway as I burst out giggling for no apparent reason

  • she'll never leave fred and we know it.

  • this sence had me on the floor largthin amazing

  • Red Dwarf is brilliant! Looking forward to the new stuff!!

  • Love this scene with these actors...great comedy timing. When they read the scene, it's actually funny...not the American Red Dwarf...Horrid.

  • She'll never leave fred and we know it. PMSL.

  • @solonthehedgehog what means PMSL ??

  • @TheSmokerdude

    Piss My Self Laughing.

  • This series are epic lol

  • i'd much rather have betty rubble with that cute giggle of hers i would just melt!

  • "She'll never leave fread and we know it."

  • backward sweet

  • my favourite episode :D

  • this is one of my favorite scenes

  • Sorry, Wilma, but Jessica Rabbit wins.

  • OMG, this show rocked! That had a couple of LOL scenes in it! Thanks! Hey I'm an American who noticed Rimmer was wearing an outfit from Captain Scarlet's show, pretty good on a geek scale if I do say so myself! Thanks for the cool post.

  • It is quite Captain Scarlet-esque actually, lol. Captain Green, lol.

  • Can you see that space vehicle? Where?

  • "I think in all probabity, Wilma Flintstone is the most desirable woman who ever lived!" I love this, this is a straight classic. I love Dave & Cat!

  • i havn't seen this episode yet which season?

  • Season 3 episode 1 I think

    Its called Backwards

  • thanks

  • Yes

  • This is crazy why am i thinking about going to bed with Wilma Flintstone. She'll never leave Fred and we know it.

    Classic line

  • Well I would go with Betty but i'd be thinking of willma!

  • You think Wilma's sexy?

  • betty is hotter lmao

  • Lmao true. XD XD XD

  • British comedy is better than American comedy.

  • yeah, american remakes tend to suck, they always overdo it.

Big brother USA was a laugh, they had like 5 people in a shack and they were all really bad actors lol.

  • An overgeneralisation, but which seems to be true nowadays, atleast most of the time.

  • I dislike the Big Bang Theory.

  • Except for a few early stinkers, and the last few which have been pretty weak, it's one of the funniest shows I have seen. Monday's episode with Christine Baranski was hysterical, so they appear to be back on track.

  • Fair enough, and I didn't mean to sound so snooty when I said I didn't like it, lol.

  • Hehe, np. If you are going by the first couple of episodes, I have to say the show has really come into its own. There is so much bad TV out there, but I really think this is a diamond in the rough. Still not as good as our old Dwarfers, though.

  • Yeah, I suppose I never really gave it much of a chance. There really is a lot of terrible comedy around, I watched a new show the other Saturday and it was awful!

  • Yeah give it a go. Sheldon's character will grow on you quickly. He's more neurotic than Rimmer.

  • Wow, I didn't think that was possible.

  • @cne08

Correction, British comedy WAS better than Yank comedy.

Now its very hard to tell the difference as they are both so poor.

The days of Red Dwarf (series 1-6) Blackadder, Father Ted, Bottom and Alan Partridge are long gone.

Britain has just the Mighty Boosh whereas the Yanks have only South Park.

As with England vs U.S.A. in the world cup.........its 1-1 in the 'decent' comedy score.

  • @imperialpod 2-1 USA. We also have The Venture Bros.

  • @KevServo

2-2 draw. I forgot about Little Britain.

  • @imperialpod

    u forgot peep show

  • @imperialpod You forgot the Vicar of Dibley.

  • @imperialpod Eh, not so sure about the Mighty Boosh. They remind me too much of Tim and Eric...and that's not a good thing.

  • @imperialpod South Park is only funny to immature 12 year olds who laugh at fart jokes, even the SP movie got old after the second time of watching it.

  • @cne08 No, but Red Dwarf is great.

  • I remember this scene, really opening scene.

  • i loved how i nthe early series the sets and props are god damn awful , look at the chairs in the cockpit :D

  • powergirl if you see him

    ask for his number;P

i would kill to meet him:)

  • So, that's the TV Episode "Backwards", first broadcast November 1989, copying from the book "Better than Life", published October 1990? I realise a lot of time travel goes on in the show, but I think you might have got this the wrong way round.

  • It wasn't copied from the book. The books took some conversations from the TV shows so that the books weren't totally different. And they had liberty to do so because both writers of the show also wrote the books.

  • Wilma Flinstone.. er, no..

    Crystal from Centurions.. oh yeah"

.. as long as the orangutan isn't watching..

  • this is hilarious! good episode too

  • That is real funny, I have never watched this show, I will try to look out for on one of many channels.

  • "She'll never leave Fred, and we know it!"

This must be the funniest show in the universe...

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!

  • That lil chat listier had with cat was probobly the best bit in the whole series

  • this is crazy she would never leave fred LOL

  • lol u can see the rope :P yup jsut liek red dwarf greate quality with cheap stuff, asda price ching ching

  • " in your own time" lol luv it!

  • aw you missed out a few extra bits just after this about 30seconds more :P

  • I just discovered Red Dwarf two months

ago and I love it; Rimmer is hilarious

and I like Lister's singsong accent.

    (I'm an American, of course.)

  • He's in Corination Street now and we sometimes see the cast from Corination Street in Sainsbury's. Someday I may see him, we've already seen about three cast members.

  • loll i love red dwarf and i love channel dave for showing it on tv :D

  • "Well I would go with Betty, but I'd be thinking of Wilma" XD

  • this was the first red dwarf episode i saw and i instantly hookjed

  • backwards- BEST EPISODE EVER!!!!!

  • Lois, not lowis. :)

  • lowis for me,

    god she is hot

  • lowis griffen

  • Anyone want some toast?

  • Tha's good. I thought I was goin' strenge...

  • i love how the cat has a hair net on!

  • i fancy marge simpson im crazy i know, she will never leave homer and we know it. they should have made the red dwarf movie they had the script and everything, hyperdrive is crap.

  • Hyperdrive IS crap. More people need to be made aware of this.

  • What ever you think of hyperdrive, its simply not as good Red Dwarf. <--- notice the full stop

  • "Why are we even talking about going to bed with Wilma flinstone..."

"Your right... this is an insane conversation..."

"She'll never leave Fred and we know it..."
