  • I don't recall hearing this work when I was a child. However, hearing it brings back so many of my childhood memories, it seems mysterious to me.

  • The best performance ever!!!!

  • Beethoven wrote because he loved it.

Schubert wrote because other people loved it,Now I'm sure he liked composing, but how sad it is he isn't as famous as Beethoven,Haydn,Mozart,Or Even Handel?

  • @Cryptoclone213 My friend, I'm a Graduate Music Student. And throughout my years, I've heard more Schubert pieces performed on stage than and one of the composers you've named. Make no mistakes, everyone you mention contributed something great to the field of music - hence why we study them. But, never say that Schubert isn't as famous as the others. He is....Trust Me!

  • @SFAPowerhouse Well I hope,his music is wonderful.

  • @Cryptoclone213 Schubert is famous. He's arguably one of the top 10 best composers in history.

  • Credit where credit is due,---this performance compares well with any of the major orchestras in Europe or America.

  • Seek psychiatric help.

  • Yes, according with Roizman79!!! And at 3:17 he makes a interesting parallel with the solo flute expression, very nice!!!

  • this orchestra has a beautiful sound...

  • Oboe solo at 2:57 is AMAZING !!!

  • Wonderful

one of my fave pieces of music

  • sounds like Beethoven

  • schubert wrote in the style of beethoven. but i would say schubert's symphonies has more melodic character, especially in the 'unfinished' and the 'great'
