Us crash testers do not discriminate! If it's a car, we will crash test it! But just think, this was done in the name of safety, to make sure we get safer cars!
@CarPro1993 I think you have the best job, bar none. If I got paid to crash cars all day long, I would be happy. That being said, what do you, or Ford, do with the cars once you're finished with them?
Once the crash test facility cars purchase the cars (We buy them from dealerships so ensure the cars weren't manufacturer tampered), they are owned by the government because safety is government funded essentially. After crash testing, obtaining needed measurements, and photography, they cars are stowed away at the facility's scrap yard. When the yard's cars reach a certain "shelf-life" they are auctioned off by the government.
@Planeguy13 It simulates someone running a red light and another car hitting it. Or it can simulate someone going too fast into a turn and skidding into a pole sideways. Or some man waiting on the sideway and randomly gives your car a falcon punch.
Why use a nice model? Those rims are gorgeous!
