For the record I'm the princess stuck in the tower and robert needs to save me!!!!!! Oh they didn't show that bit? well what happened next was.......:)
Happy Thanksgiving Pie.. "The Rain Song" This is the springtime of my loving - the second season I am to know You are the sunlight in my growing - so little warmth I've felt before. It isn't hard to feel me glowing - I watched the fire that grew so low. It is the summer of my smiles - flee from me Keepers of the Gloom. Speak to me only with your eyes. It is to you I give this tune. Ain't so hard to recognize - These things are clear to all from time to time.
Love it, so 70s, mental film ... could have cut out a lot of the weird stuff and focused on the live performance, but it's what the band wanted. Of all the groups of the 70s Zeppelin would have been the band to see live . I envy anyone who saw them.
The whole movie is off. That's why I like it! I don't understand anything of the video, but songs and words speak for themselves. Gotta love the movie <3
Although Robert Plant on the horse is hilarious, and his rescue of the maiden is inspiring, the best part of this video is Jimmy Page in his own world playing the ending section of the Rain Song on the GIbson double-neck under the blue and green stage lights to a sold-out Madison Square Garden crowd. His head nod at 6:12 is a nice touch too.
@jaysfca This movie and concert were pure magic. It's as though The Force, itself, took over Page's soul that night. No other time have I heard him play that well. Esp Stairway to Heaven. How the West was Won was mediocre in comparison. Although I liked that version of The Battle of Evermore, (what an awesome song)! Lord of the Rings rules!!
@footchannel9 Not at all man! I saw him at the Greek Theater two days ago with his Band of Joy in Berkeley...the guy is still phenomenal. I couldn't believe how he still had it. Look it up, you'll find some great clips
Now there is a perfect example of how society has changed if someone was to try and get into a concert like that now they would never be let in because of all the hate in the world i would like a change Love all
Why are the vocals (3:26) different in the movie than the CD soundtrack? In this he says, "now listen". In the soundtrack he says, "talk to me". How can I get the one here that's uploaded on youtube?
I remember NYC cops in the 1970's. They were so cool with the kids, as long as you didn't make a jerk of yourself. After Mayor Juliani and the Reagan Era, that totally changed in NYC.
ACHO Q VI ESTE FILME MAIS D CEM X, QUANDO ROLOU NOS CINEMAS, NOS ANOS 70...E O CINE PARECIA ESTAR PEGANDO FOGO D TANTA FUMAÇA...ROLA A PONTA...DO LÁPIS ALOHA!!!!
it's bullshit the kids are raised to believe the media and the pop scene's music is worth listening to. it's a social thing. this music is too beautiful for most people to most understand. they're too simple minded.
That was the life. No insane mortgages, petrol for the car, stressful trips to the shops, brunches, and buying silly shit and working at some dead end horrible job. It was all roaming around the country with your maiden and steel sword, slaying bad dudes and chillaxing in the pre-global warming clean air!
i feel bro todays music its no more fun anymore only back then when u see them live just like hendrix, cream, floyd nd others yeah thats the real music nd now today more controlled my the media nd they want futuristic stuff no more heart nd soul music like zeppelin nd other bands they play from the heart they dont do that anymore today in this era of supposely new wave music

I never done or even attempted to contact spirits. so the same interest the jimmy has with crowley, is like the same interest i have with ghost.
Actually Jimmy was into Black Magick. He did used it with the music. Crowely taught about it as well as how to influence people with it. Learning things backwards the same, and putting things into music. The Beatles even did it and have Crowely on an album cover. Anyway your comment on ghosts are demons instead of past people. I agree. It even mentions that in the Bible. It all does seem very interesting, but it can be harmful. Great video though!
when the term heavy metal was coined, Jimmy Page resented Zeppelin's music being classified as such. Metal is all about rift bashing, but Zeppelin tried to create drama and passion by contrasting hard driving, heavy crunching rifts mixed in with traditional boogie woogie blues, and rich melodies. @KurtisERIK you're soo right!!! n to make it short: LED ZEPPELIN is LED ZEPPELIN and no band or musician ever will reach them... not even the single band mates!!
No matter how many times I watch this - and there's some 20 years or more - it's like the first time. Definitely my favorite Led Zeppelin song, and one of the showmanship cornerstones in self-indulgent-70 rock. Oh boy, those men could play.
First time I saw this movie was in 1978 I believe :-) I was 10 saw it in Westchester Ca at the Loyola Theater I think This is when I fell in love with Jimmy! :-D
I remember the first time I saw the movie. It was back in 1987 and in this song every muscle of my body was paralized. I was in shock, with no reaction. Man, Zep is a huge part of my life.
I saw it for the first time at a theater walk-in kind in Westchester Ca 1977, Thats when I fell in love with Jimmy Page LOL, I was 8 years old. My babysitter took me with her to see it :-) Lucky Lucky Meeeee!
i wonder what peter grant thought of those cops letting those kids in! i bet he was not too happy! i wonder what ever happened to those kids..

Talk Talk - I've felt the coldness of my winter
I never thought it would ever go. I cursed the gloom that set upon us...
But I know that I love you so
These are the seasons of emotion and like the winds they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion - I see the torch we all must hold.
This is the mystery of the quotient - Upon us all a little rain must fall.
I hope you and yours are well..

Oh man that would've sucked for that guy who fell in that moat when robert pushed him.

I remember the first time I saw the movie. It was back in 1987 and in this song every muscle of my body was paralized. I was in shock, with no reaction. Man, Zep is a huge part of my life.
