The thing that seems 'off", is that they drums are shitty as hell. If this was recorded more like a band, than a project of 2 men...I would be in awe of it. It's still good and powerful, but the empty sound for me is the lack of real live drums.
Also the video is just as boring as the song. I can't believe that anyone who takes themselves seriously would approve of such a lackluster video. Maybe this stuff would be cool if i Was on 20 hits of acid.........no, I'd probably still not enjoy it. Bell should not have released this crap into public domain.
I have a lot of respect for the guy...and hell...he is 40 now with kids, can't blame him wanting to calm down. But I can't really get into this. Something just doesn't fit. Not bashing it, and no problem to those who enjoy it...I just can't connect. I keep expecting more. Oh well...he's had his legacy for sure
