i have a PSP slim (silver) 3001 series and came with Ratchet and Clank size matters and also national treasure 2 book of secerets movie. My brother dropped his wich was the same thing and also dropped it like 3 or 4 times and then there was this permanent grey bar on the side of his PSP screen no matter what he did yo cant get rid of it.

Cris, your batery dowsn't fit because thats a batery for the Fat models (PSP-1xxxx)

The most important thing to have a PSP is a CFW - Custom Firmware - instead of a OFW - Original Firmware- because you can run Homebrews (home made apps) and the 'backups' of your UMD's.

The second is having a big MS for your games, apps, music, photos and videos.

UMD discs are a pain. Nearly all of mine are broke. So I modded mine and store them on the memo stick instead. I turned off the spinning so I save battery and the games load 3x faster cuz of the stick ;D

Top tip for the psp: Get a Pandora Battery if you have a 1k or 2k, and install ChickHEN if you have a psp 3k.

Waste of time and effort? No. The Pandora allows you to install any version of custom firmware; ChickHEN only allows you to get one version. This version of CFW can run homebrew, but cannot run ISO/CSO games as well as a few other things. Also if you ever brick your psp whilst messing with it, using Pandora battery to re-install firmware is as easy as 1-2-3. Using HEN it is much harder, though possible.

They are pretty different to compare... They have pretty much the exact same interface but one is portable and one is wireless. If you are traveling a lot and there is games you want for psp then get it. If you want better graphics, and more room and don't travel that much then get a ps3. I personally like a PS3 more because of the games. :/

Are you an idiot? The battery runs for six hours for me, and if you still have a phat battery and exchange it with the psp 3000s than you can get 9 hrs of battery life, if that isn't good enough for you something is wrong with you. The Nintendo DS battery is great too.

old 1000 psp models if you removed the umd in use it would go flying but i don't think a umd was ever reported damaged from it thow. it was fixed in 2000 and up the eject is no longer spring loaded. as for a screen protector i have one of those thick solid plastic stick on ones. it has no air bubble issues picked em up at walmart for 5$ for a 2 pack. the thin film ones are a pain.
