i think i play the intro like you .. some people say to do pull off /hammer on or whatever . i found it more trouble to set the timing with pull offs.. i just alternate struming the e string ( open ) and fill the notes as i need ... i dont pull off .. play like Wasted years from Iron maiden . just alternate open E string fast .. and fill the note you need . dont know if its how you play it .. but i think yes . sound very good that way . at this speed , pick or pull off =no difference
